Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

A new server, a new environment. Updated and all.

As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

The Jupiter 80 is not something I would want to buy. A Fantom is better for live settings but lacks the analog modeling part in this case. What I want from Roland next year is a black workstation (call it Fantom-Z or whatever sounds nice), with an analog modeling engine built-in AND a huge flash me...

A few reviews are popping up on the "interwebs." Sound quality in a studio environment seems to be positive thusfar. As far as sending separate audio stems, it doesn't look like that will be possible. Bummer, but for a $50 Fairlight clone (plus Ipad an midi interface costs) I can take the ...

Great find Jon! The Vogels kept a pretty tight lid on this! I was going to buy the new CMI but lost interest when the price doubled to 20k. But this... Now I have a reason to buy an IPad. I just wonder what thr sound quality is like. Is this something you really could track with and send separate st...

Just saw them last night in Houston. At 51 Andy McCluskey can still bring it! NIce energy, two 88key Roland Fantoms on stage with a live drummer, who missed his cue last night and Andy made fun of him and made them start the song over again... Hilarious!!! Great show, if you ever need to feed that 8...

Just now am I listening to this via YouTube. Can't say I'll be buying this album. Who arranged this? It would be a great album to force children to listen to at a young age if you wanted them to hate symphonic music. Ugh!!! So far Chron I was promising but it all went wrong after that. This could ha...

RIP Tsutomu Katoh

Today is an even sadder day for Japan and the music world. A true innovator that gave the world Japan's first synthesizer, has passed. RIP and may your legacy live on Mr. Korg.

Interesting....

New open architecture synths coming out of Texas. Open Labs was makin some pretty cool stuff with the miko and neko but they cost a boatload. Former CEO Victor Wong decided to take his show on the road and opened up Music Computing. Much cheaper open end products but dang no open PCI/pcie slots!!! I...

Although...the biggest thing with Kronos is the "smooth sound transitions" , isn't it? :) Korg Kronos launch event - NAMM 2011 54 min of video. You could as well skip most of the video and go directly to watch Jordan Rudess. :punch: Rudess is fun to watch fo sho! I always hate these types...

The Big O has a huge sound compared to the Triton or M3 workstations. If the Kronos has this MONSTER of a sound, it will blow the doors off of any workstation currently out there. Ah yes, it does come down to sound quality. Just heard back from some OASYS owners at NAMM and they say the OASY...

Erm.... Not exactly. It has a ssd for samples, looks like that's tied to the sample engine; plus full DAW integration (amongst other added features). Those were 2 of the OASYS major flaws. Comes down to price point. If they make this comparable to Fantoms and Motif... This is a huge bang for ur buck...

And and on the 9th day, he said let all men have OASYS, not just the rich.... all of them. And it was good. http://www.synthgear.com/2011/synthesizers/korg-kronos/ Depending on price point, this could actually be a game changer. An OASYS for the masses. Of course ifit's 3k for a 61key I'll be $#*@&a...

Ah yes... back on topic... So it makes sense it's Korg's latest workstation that will get swallowed up by the Motif, but what's curious is the realy release by Korg of a $ 70 analog monosynth with a stylus. What purpose does the Monotron serve??? So imagine if Korg releases a workstation but it empl...
