Equinoxe 6

Hello all, I've been away for some time what with a house move and having no internet for a good while, but I'm finally set back up and playing about with creating mediocre cover versions again. At the moment, I'm working on Equinoxe 6 to follow on from the almost finished part 5. I think I've final...

Just ordered an Alesis Micron for a bargain price, seems they are pretty good from what Ive read :D How much ? 160 of the English pounds...I was lucky as someone I know was clearing out their gear and the Micron was surplus to requirements; it came yesterday and was in lovely condition. Haven't had...

Just ordered an Alesis Micron for a bargain price, seems they are pretty good from what Ive read :D I've been tempted to get one of those.. there seems to be a software editor/librarian out there somewhere, too. Should be a good synth! :fine: If I can get hold of the software editor I think it coul...

The fade out shape..... f-in lol! :looool: Please tell me that was intentional? Advice for the track: 1) Pay more attention to stereo placement of instruments. 2) Pay more attention to timbral character of drums, bass, seq as well as overall gain. 3) Adjust the horn lead amp envelope, giv...

Oxygene IV (mostly finished)

Between working on Equinoxe IV,V and VI, I've started to build a version of Oxygene IV, far from perfect, but I think I have a starting point to finish it off eventually. I did this literally sitting on the sofa with a microKORG and a lot of guesswork so don't expect anything special!!

Hi I know the exact notation of the equinoxe 5 glissandos. I have thrown away my broken computer otherwise i would post them in isolation - you can hear them in my equinoxe 5 cover here or at www.mattsynth.co.uk. I made mine on the nordlead from a square wave. I am on my sisters computer so when i ...

Re: Some queries about Equinoxe V

Part This was my first attemp, I haven't worked on it since. Nice! I'd be happy to get something like that on mine. With regards to the spinning sound, I'm going to have another try at making the sound from scratch, last time I attempted it was a good while ago and I just improvised the sounds to a...

Re: Some queries about Equinoxe V

The "spinning" sounds are very difficult for me to recreate also, it could be VCS3 or AKS, and they can do some stuff i can't i Reason4 :) Ok I wasn't aware of the PE2000 made that sound, but I still can't figure out what happens when the refring goes into F What do you meen by additive?? ...

Re: Some queries about Equinoxe V

I'm sure it's a Korg PE 2000(?) combi, possibly pipe organ/string combination. The bass I'm working on is as you say quite simple, it's based on a single sawtooth and pulse waves with very slight LFO. Rightly or wrongly, it sounds ok I think! That EQ7 bass sounds pretty much spot on to me, I don't ...

Re: Some queries about Equinoxe V

The main brass sound sounds like a CS-60 simple brass sound heavily EQ'd and delayed. I've got that sound somewhere near to my liking now, certainly closer than I've got in the years I've been trying to get that lead! With the underlying Eminent, it is a gorgeous sound to play. When the organ sound...

Re: Some queries about Equinoxe V

Hello, I'm working on a simple cover version of Equinoxe V and wondered if the experts here could possibly give me some advice! There's a couple of pieces that I'm stuck getting the right sound with; mostly the 'glissando' parts during the verses - I used the notation from one of the old sheet musi...

Hi

Just thought I'd say hi, recognize a few names from the old forums in the past, I didn't realise this one was going (found the forum searching for tips on making cover versions!)

Hope to get involved in the discussions there.

Dan
