Re: Superwave - Equinoxe - No sound

The plugins by this company are average. Yes you get many presets that sound similar to the sounds from Jarre's albums, but you will not nail all of the analog sounds correctly. You need other plugins, that directly emulate the hardware synths Jarre used. For playing around and hobby, they are okay....

Re: Equinoxe, Pt. 5 cover

Hello everyone, I made a cover of Equinoxe 5 as a fun side project, hope you enjoy it! https://soundcloud.com/user-64232406/equinoxe-pt-5-cover Very cool cover bro. Thanks for making a cover of this cheerful track :D  Just one thing, when the chorus part comes in, that part has to make you fl...

Yes too much detune and too little sustain. Change them and you should be much closer to the album original. :D

Re: Oxygene 4 RMI lead

There's something suss about that sound. You know why? I've never heard it re-created live, ANYWHERE, since he first created, played and recorded it in 1976. Every single case of that sound being used in a new arrangement, throughout the years, it's the same original tape recording. If JMJ has not r...

Re: Oxygene 7-13 synths

I know - odd name but when you hear it, it makes sense. In O7, you can hear it three times at 10'26, 10'38, 10'55. Ah yes, that sounds like something in reverse, with a ton of reverb and delay on top of it. Really nice scary introspective sound, fits with the overall atmosphere of the ending that h...

The whole ending part of O7 is my favorite thing about 7-13. "Log out" patch, lol funny name. What patch do you mean?

Re: The current state of the forum

Thank you so much for this immense work guys. The forum looks ultra cool. Love all the themes. This will take us well into this century. Btw, I have seen some errors where I remember the topics were started by certain users, but now it's another user's name that is in that place. Also my last post, ...

Absolutely! Yes, the dry sound can be heard through the demo at the begining of this thread. You can hear me messing with settings on the Electric Mistress In that case then my first post in this thread still stands. Comparing Jarre's and yours the differences are stark. You are using a subtractive...

The sound on the Tour demo was a new - yet to be released - Nordlead 2 I made my sound on this very keyboard - getting the first one into the UK! It is quite a thin sound in isolation and only becomes 'The Oxygene Sound when put through the Electric Mistress pedal Have you got a dry example of it. ...

Cool demo, thanks! During his 1997 Oxygène Tour Jarre used a Norldlead (or more likely the new Nordlead 2 he had recently got at the time) to play Oxygène IV sounds. At the very least he demoed 4 sounds with it before playing the track: wind effect, main melody, and the 2 RMI chorus sounds you de...

Okay let's see if we can refine this even further. Drop many of the first partials in gain, and get the top most ones loud. That's part of what makes that sound so "HUH?" and difficult to emulate for most people - a true legacy of the unnaturalness of what an additive synthesizer is capabl...
