Re: Peter Gabriel (Solo)

I've seen him two times live, one was the Growing Up tour, the other was the Still Growing Up tour. Quite surprised there's an album coming, after so many years. Last time I heard about it was last year when producer Stephen Hague was being interviewed by a music related youtube-channel who had tak...

Peter Gabriel (Solo)

Are there any Peter Gabriel fans on this forum? Peter Gabriel is often (unfairly) overlooked when it comes to electronic musicians however he has a long history of using synths, samplers (he was among the first musicians to use a Fairlight CMI) and digital production. For me, his third & fourth ...

Re: Oxymore album, october 21 2022

Just finished my first listen of the new record. I hate to say it, but I'm really underwhelmed. It's not bad per se however there is nothing memorable about the record at all. I frequently found myself thinking "this is a good tech demo/experiment but as an album of music it isn't doing much fo...

Re: Melancolique Rodeo - English text release?

It's such a shame that the english version hasn't happened yet. When the book was announced I was really looking forward to getting a copy but I can't see it happening now. I did attempt to make a few email enquiries regarding a potential timetable for the english release however I never received a ...

Re: ALONE TOGETHER - LIVE VR Concert - 21/06/2020

I really hate to be a negative person, but I'm a little fed up of this 'look at me kids, I'm cool too!' phase/era.

Re:

Hi Pete, Thanks for sharing your music. I'm slowly and surely listening through the tracks you shared, and I really like what you do! I understand your nervousness in sharing your music and getting criticism in the progress. In that respect you have nothing to be afraid of. I know myself it's hard ...

I have recently downloaded the app and I must say that initial impressions are really positive and I am quite impressed with Jean-Michel has achieved here. I hope that the app is updated in the future with additional musical options/variations to make it a truly infinite album. Really impressed so f...

Wow, thank you for the positive comments and feedback so far everyone! I've been hiding away for the past few days as it's never easy sharing your creative output (especially for the first time ever) and particularly because it's music, something that I love beyond anything else and have been afraid...

Demos Of My First Ever (concept) Album

Okay so I'm really nervous doing this however I feel I'm at the point of sharing my own music for the first time. Over the past year I've been laying down demos for a concept album I've wanted to record for a very long time. Finally I have around 34 mins of material I'd like you to listen to and giv...

I can't even begin to describe how poorly that article is written. I've never seen such meandering, non-sensical rubbish in all my life. I'm a professional, published copywriter and if I submitted a piece like that I'd be laughed at and fired. Granted, there are some interesting points in the piece ...

Pardon me but when has he blamed Sony for the extreme loudness? I must have missed that. It's what JMJ said according to Elf who published an interview with him in a Norwegian newspaper. ;) src: http://www.zoolook.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6622&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=180 "Oh...

As much as I absolutely love owning all three albums on transparent vinyl, absolutely everything seems half baked about it. Missing drum hit in Part VI, clicks and pops through the entirety of Oxygene 7-13 and Oxygene 3 being ridiculously loud. Vinyl isn't much better and seems like a straight digi...

Just had a first listen through. I agree with what a few others have said in that it's going to take a good few more play throughs to really get my head round it but my first impression is really positive! Oxygene Pt 20 is quite possibly one of the best tracks Jean-Michel Jarre has ever written in m...

The concert was amazing, I'll type up a full review for tomorrow. Highlights were Exit, Rendez Vous 4, Stardust, Equinox 7 and OXYGENE 17.

In the mean time, here is my video of Oxygene 17 in full for those who want a little spoiler :punch:

EDIT: Sony took it down immediately sorry
