Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Re: Moscow 1997 TV broadcast Best Quality So Far

I had forgotten about the messy looking white drape, badly hung at the back of the stage. What was that and why? I know Moscow always gets name-checked in the press for the 3.5m audience but I think the scenography, set design, staging etc was poor. Look at La Défense and the amazing pyramid! The fl...

Re: Sensorium and electronic music legend Jean-Michel Jarre partner up to co-create a virtual world and exclusive shows

Be a real shame if Motion has been released as a teaser with "holding music" if that particular VR world is being marketed as a JMJ co-creation. There seems to be a great opportunity here to revisit stuff around the time of Cousteau and Palawan - that watery, endless WfC type approach to s...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre's new haircut (updated October 2021)

He definitely dyes his hair! He was quite grey during the Electronica tour and when promoting Equinoxe Infinity but he's gone dark again.

Re: AOR Ballet

This is amazing! And sounds very much like a TV show. A daytime quiz show?! Totally lacking the grandeur or the futurism of Equinoxe Pt 5, the album or live version, but shows what a brilliant melody it is. The arrangement reminds me of Band in the Rain (Unplugged) :D

Great interview with some stuff I hadn't heard from JMJ before - thanks for sharing!

Re: Keyboards magazine no 35, July/August 1990

This was right before the La Defense concert. A friend of mine bought this magazine because he was in Paris a few days before the concert. He and his family had to go to the south of France so he missed the concert, he's still mourning it. He and his family had to go to the south of France so he mi...

Re: Sensorium and electronic music legend Jean-Michel Jarre partner up to co-create a virtual world and exclusive shows

As a co-creator of Motion, Jarre will be sound engineering this virtual world dedicated to mindfulness, helping build an immersive sonic environment that conveys a sense of presence through highly engaging visuals and sound. Taking the shape of a mysterious underwater land, Motion lets users reinvi...

Re: AOR Ballet

Yup, but for all we know this Ethnicolor scream could have been done for AOR and then reused on Zoolook. I often wonder how many elements of Equinoxe were developed or prepared during or before Oxygene, or even earlier, but then were put to one side for another time. Sequences, melodies and rhythms...

Re: Amazonia

Also, I attended the opening day of the Amazonia exhibition in London on 13th October 2021 .... I'll try and post a report soon. It was definitely worth seeing the images with the music and listening to the music with the images - as intended by both SS and JMJ.

Re: Amazonia

There are only so many ways to say these things, and only so many times a poor mortal can hear them. On the face of it, Salgado’s enormous exhibition, set to an immersive soundscape by Seventies new-age pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre, sounds more impressive than impactful. Salgado is everyone’s idea of ...

I knew about the "Akropolis" and "Give Me A Sign" link. In the same way, the opening track of the Concerts In China "The Overture" is the first movement of "Magnetic Fields Part 1" slowed down. Meanwhile, "Aero" and "Je Me Souviens" share t...
