Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Señor Coconut

Hi, Many know about Señor Coconut and his orchestra (first it was 2 samplers, but later on real musicians) and his album of Kraftwerk covers (El Baile Alemán, 1999: https://www.discogs.com/Se%C3%B1or-Coconut-Y-Su-Conjunto-El-Baile-Alem%C3%A1n/master/51868). Did you know that he did a cover of Oxygèn...

Re: Love Love Love - Métamorphoses

It's actually not a person's voice, it's a speech synthesizer. JMJ said so in the video EPK on a bonus CD that came with the album in France. "... There is a girl, which is actually a computer voice, a computer voice that is sensual and detached at the same time..."

Re: Welcome To The Other Side

Well crap, the last webstore that listed Remix EP2 is no longer selling it: https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/112059/Jean-Michel_Jarre-Remix_EP_II-FLAC_44kHz24bit_Download ... I seem to recall EP[2] was also available as 320kbps MP3s for a short period. EP[1] definitely was. Good enough, really. 3...

Re: HELP NEEDED instrument repair in Paris region

Jean-Loup Dierstein, in Paris 17e, used to repair electronic instruments. Although he doesn't anymore and now focuses on designing and making new instruments he might be able to recommend someone who can repair the Eminent. https://jeanloupdierstein.fr/

A 2021 calendar

I've just checked the Forum for the first time in a long time, it's nice to see it alive again! And the updated look is refreshing! Congratulations and thanks to everyone who worked on the platform migration and the data recovery! I've been designing a 2021 JMJ calendar for me and a couple of friend...

Cool demo, thanks! During his 1997 Oxygène Tour Jarre used a Norldlead (or more likely the new Nordlead 2 he had recently got at the time) to play Oxygène IV sounds. At the very least he demoed 4 sounds with it before playing the track: wind effect, main melody, and the 2 RMI chorus sounds you de...

Thanks Jote for your "stats" - interesting!

Maybe Vol. 10 disc 1 is shorter than vol.9 because of shorter blanks between the tracks. Vol. typically has 5 second gaps, which sound (or don't, for that matter) too long. Maybe they reduced those for the new release.

Amazing artist. His album Bevilacqua (1996) was ahead of its time. While his most famous songs (apart from Aline and Les marionnettes) are from the period when he worked with JMJ (Les paradis perdus - 1973, and Les mots bleus - 1974) his most recent albums are fantastic and showcase very different s...
