Re: Welcome To The Other Side - Jean-Michel Jarre New Year Eve’s concert at Notre-Dame in VR

I hope it is not on too late as I have to be up early for work the next day. And I hope it will be longer that the last VR concert with some classic tracks thrown in and also hoping for brand new music. I am really looking forward to this, after the horrible year we have had it will be great to end ...

Re: Magnetic Fields Pt. 4

Ah yes I forgot about the single mix, shame the ending is so short, would be nice if that variation went on for another verse.

Re: Magnetic Fields Pt. 4

Last Rhumba does seem very out of place, I tend to skip that one when listening to the album & end it on part 4, for me it spoils the whole mood of the album. I find the album version of part 2 to be rather boring compared to the China or Planet Jarre versions, I think Jarre said that himself in...

Re: Magnetic Fields Pt. 4

This and the whole of part 1 are my favourites on this album, part 1 movement 3 is definately overlooked, I seem to remember an interview when he was asked about playing the 3rd part of it live and he said he'd consider it. Such a shame part 4 was never played live again after China. I wish he'd hav...

Re: Opening tracks at concerts

Paris La Defense does fit this pattern if you consider the Waiting For Cousteau title track was played across the city in the hours before the concert officially started. Waiting for Cousteau was not the opening track of that album though, Calypso is, but Calypso Latino Mix was the opening track on...

Also on the Aero compilation Zoolookologie was renamed to Zoolookology, it just does not look right at all.

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

The BBC version was edited, although better sound quality than the M6 broadcast but still in mono.

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

I believe it's a remix done by Joachim Garraud for a planned single release that never happened. That would make more sense, I can't imagine that one as the album version. I also have another version called The Intelligentsia Sputnik Remix, can't remember where I got it from or if it was part of a ...

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

It's a shame they still haven't found their way into the internet, but what you going to do. Of all of them, I do wish The Sun would finally find its way online. It's the one track that I want so badly in studio quality :( I have a flac copy of Hey Gagarin, if anyone wants it just send me a PM. It'...

It's not a fantastic version but interesting to hear the original idea.

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

If I had those CDs I would share them. And how much will they be worth when they have deteriorated ? If a studio version of The Sun was ever found it would make a lot of fans very happy. Give me a sign is rumoured to be the Crystal Kay version, which supposedly was recorded for a single release but ...

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

There is a post about this in RDV JMJ fans on Facebook, one of the members has the CD & confirmed it is a different version of "Bells" Oh right, that guy that won't share it. *sigh* Yup, he has Give me a sign, Isobel and Hey Gagarin & won't share. I have a rip of Hey Gagarin anywa...

Re: Metamorphoses - Test Pressing CD-Rs

From what I've learned is that Isobel is apparently a different version of Miss Moon (https://www.discogs.com/Jean-Michel-Jarre-Isobel/release/5091710). I believe that description is bogus. "Isobel" is "Bells" - you can hear it in the lyrics: "Bell... Bell isobel". I'm...
