Matt, I'm just throwing out some blind possibilities, knowing nothing about your budget and personal preferences. Firstly, are you getting PC or Mac? If PC: - Monitor 24-27 inch - perhaps 2 monitors, one for mixing, another for main screen. - If you are planning to use tons of samples, go over 8Gb r...

I never liked the sound of the Freeman ensemble, sounds too synthy. And there is not much of a difference when comparing the Freeman and the Eminent actually, with the 2 different approaches to the chorus. The harmonics of each note is really where the crafting is at, and what "makes" an i...

Sorry to hijack the thread :hypocrit: Hugo And I miss our long chats on making the best string ensemble in the world! :P :D If it had been technically possible back in 1972, it would likely would...

You know, you should do a vsti version out of this. You'd have significantly more customers.
It's one bit of gear that a lot of would be em musicians out there lust after.

Yeah, Arturia VSTs are much nicer when you get past the fact that they don't really succeed at their emulation as they're supposed to ( the Oxygene 2 square lead replication on the ARP2600V is pretty good, tho', but then again... ;] ). They need a lot of tweaking to sound competent (to me, at least...

Personally, all I can say about Xils-Lab synths is that they seem to have the same kind of dead wooden sound to them, that the Arturia synths built their legacy upon. Go figure. It's not a surprise since the developer of Xils is one of the early developers at Arturia, who left to form his own compan...

We must all work together towards obtaining the power of the snap, for that is the path to becoming masters of the universe! :peacemaan:

Good times Polarity!

I was trying to convince Arts Acoustic to make one, to complement their Small Stone emu, and to use my Mistress and Echoflanger, but they've become very quiet last couple of years.

Gonna test this one against the real deal and see how well it stacks up.

I thought a lot of people showed how that part was exclusively done on the E310. Considering you need some sort of percussive glockenspiel sound to be layered along with the organ pad.
Both of which the Eminent has.
