Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Re: Fête de la Musique 2021

This stage set up is like an "Electronica Mini" which looks really interesting. Like a portable, touring set up that could be a pop-up event in a town square or village. Very poetic. The "City In Concert" approach - Houston, Lyon, La Défense - is obviously magical and ethereal a...

Re: Love Love Love - Métamorphoses

It's actually not a person's voice, it's a speech synthesizer. JMJ said so in the video EPK on a bonus CD that came with the album in France. "... There is a girl, which is actually a computer voice, a computer voice that is sensual and detached at the same time..." Interesting! Thanks fo...

Love Love Love - Métamorphoses

Who is the female vocalist on Love Love Love? She seems to go uncredited. For what it's worth, I think it's a brilliant track. The silly lyrics a counterpoint to a wonderful melody and arrangement.

Re: Amazonia

All JMJ photo books - CPLT, EIC, PLD - also have the spine writing right way up when the book is face down. It's a French thing.

Re: Do you get 'chills' when listening to JMJ

Just listening to Ethnicolor thru headphones. Never fails to impress. Always chills at 7'47" when the drums kick in (as Jote says) and then again at 9'21" when the track inexplicably goes "up a gear" from an already high plateau of emotion. From a technical / musical point of vie...

JMJ quote around the time Aero comes out in 2004 - "this tech feels to us like stereo first did to an earlier generation" - or similar. JMJ quote around the time he performs his VR concerts in 2020 - "this tech feels to us like cinema first did to an earlier generation" - or simi...

Re: #PlanetJarre

I'm not really up on the audio tech side of things, but without the consumer hardware, isn't a 5.1 mix a bit redundant? And the uptake for 5.1 hardware in the home consumer market never really picked up to a level where regular 5.1 audio mixes made sense. Maybe I've misunderstood?
