Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

Currently, we are experiencing some DNS problems. We hope to fix this as soon as possible.

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Ok thanks. I try to download that SYX file and my screen just fills up with random letters/numbers??? Does anyone know how to contact Thhedk? How many of those sounds are standard presets that will be in a D50? https://www.sendspace.com/file/0453ip here's 30,000 of presets here, including Jarre's. ...

I'm surprised at how close I'm getting to making it sound decent enough for a cover. Considering I'm musically uneducated, this might turn out better than expected... Just an extremely slow progress. So much one must know even for a relatively simple melody. Now I see how much skill and talent is re...

If anyone's still curiously reading this. Here's more info about the creation of the track. This was found written in 1990. And the waiting: On the "other side" is 'waiting for Cousteau'. Dennis Vanzetto (*) and Xavier Bellanger (**) went on an expedition up the Amazonas according to the &...

If you asked me how the panning on Oxygene was done I couldn't save my life by accurately describing it, and that's considering I've heard it over hundred times in the past few years. You think someone can still remember after nearly 35 years? I'm still surprised that the person who owns it is unkn...

I think with the amount of VST plugings available these days, one could create almost identical replica of the whole album. Well, it's very hard to replicate something that the only copy is in such a poor quality: 1. no low and high frequencies 2. one channel only A lot of guess work/artistic licen...

It's for certain that one of the instruments in the track is Crystal Baschet, same one as in Tokyo Kid. On top of that, you can hear water near the end, that one seems to resemble a Stream sample from Emulator II library"Loon Garden" Check it out http://synthmania.com/Misc/Emulator%20II/Em...

Well, to be honest so far I haven't progressed much. There is either still something off with the Midi file because certain synths are jumping in too abruptly or there is obviously additional processing needed.

P.S. Nevermind, slowly but surely I'm getting some results... :D

Re: Roland Cloud D-50

Man, and only now do I find out that there's been a Roland D50 VST out for months ! Thanks to AERO62 for the tip-off. So here's yet another one of my questions. Anyone able to open thhedk's Roland D-50 preset .SYX file (from this link: http://www.thhe.dk/Roland_D-50.htm ), and post the actual prese...

Waiting for Cousteau track help with synths

Hi. I am completely clueless about music but I'm trying to use a premade midi file for making a slightly edited track to extend it as much as I want. I'm using primarily D50 plugin from Roland Cloud in FL Studio but there's some confusion with the synths. I found 2 midi versions with notes and synth...

I think with the amount of VST plugings available these days, one could create almost identical replica of the whole album. The one made by Radek is a bit off, some of the sounds don't completely match.

Kanta, I think it's pointless resurrecting the thread unless some new info/evidence/recording comes up.
