Hi jeanbatman, I saw an ad in a popular paper here, Philadelphia Weekly... I scanned it - anyone know how to attach a picture to a post? I checked the BBCode page, but there is no "Add an attachment" on the form. Is is disabled? This March 15-22 issue's cover is "The Music Issue: the ...

Thanks Kanta for the info! This past weekend I saw Jeff Towne who conducted the interview with JMJ for Echoes. I asked him about it. He was impressed by how cool Jarre was, and even though he had several interviews lined up he didn't rush and took the time to answer questions - so it confirms what E...

Ticket sales don't look too good after almost a month... I was able to check 3 venues today:

Boston 19% of 5000
Philly 32% of 3000 (20 tickets sold in the past 10 days)
NYC 37% of 6000

I was looking at the SACEM site and found that some of the Electronica tracks have alternate titles or subtitles: Electronica 1 - Stardust is also spelled Star Dust Electronica 2 - Switched on Leon - subtitle: "A frenzy moonlight with Bob and Clara, switched on Leon" - Circus is actually r...

Many thanks Ralf for sharing these very nice pictures. Really cool to see close-ups of the instruments (and the musicians!) in the unfinished studio!

Hi jeanbatman, I'm going to look around, but keep in mind that Jarre is not as ubiquitous in the media around here as he's been in Europe this past year... Also, most music magazines in the US actually come from the UK, so I don't expect much coverage about the US tour in those. So that leaves us wi...

Thanks Kanta and Melo for the Synthopia links...

@Melo, by Denver, Jarre means Broomfield, which is in the suburbs of Denver. By the same token, no-one is likely to say Upper Darby... which is just a few miles from Philadelphia. and for non-locals it's easier to point out the big city nearby.

Yello - interview

Just stumbled upon this recent Yello (Boris Blank only) interview at the Electricity Club website. There's a bit about Why This, Why That and Why? Oh Yeah!

Yup, "lazy" is a good word... A new design by Michel Granger would have been much nicer and probably could have continued the "story" graphically (e.g. the original was somewhat pessimistic, and the Oxy 7-13 cover was somewhat optimistic, with the Earth as the man's heart as oppo...

Prog Magazine - #67

This might be old news for UK residents, but here in the US Prog #67 was just published today... I originally bought this issue for the article on Syd Barrett / psychedelia (with 3D lenticular outer sleeve), and found out there is also an interview with Jarre: 6 pages total, about 3 pages of text. E...

@ Christophe, re: What You Want 7" I received the single a couple of days ago. There is no difference between the US release and the EU release: clear vinyl, one sided, made in Germany. Which makes sense after JMJ said it was a 1,000 copy release worldwide. By the way, does anyone know the numb...
