Re: A short history of electronic music: the instruments and innovators that defined a genre

Wow! Look how history is being kind to JMJ. This sort of adulation would be unthinkable in the English music press just 15 or 20 years ago. He was derided by pretty much all music journalism. I recall scathing reviews of the Paris La Défense video release, the Images (Best of) album and the Chronol...

I'm not sure, but I thought JMJ wrote the lyrics of Les Mots Bleus for Charlotte back in 1974

Re: Moscow 1997 concert alternative video

Risking my own life, I found some more information about the Silver Rain broadcast on a Russian forum. It was a 40 minutes broadcast, in mono. After that, they played Calypso with audience noise and at the beginning there's a jingle which went like "Hello! This is Jean Michiel Jarre talking to ...

Re: Pet shop boys

Soft Cell's singer Marc Almond had a succesful solo career and had a string of hits. I love his version of Brel's Jacky. I saw him live in 2019, which I was happy to be at, he still had a great voice. The other half of the band, Dave Ball, had a huge hit in 1994 with Swamp Thing under the name the G...

Re: Pet shop boys

Looking forward to it! The Soft Cell album leaked earlier, but that didn't have the PSB collaboration version. Apparently Soft Cell liked the PSB version so much that that's become the "canon" version.

That's from the chat functionality. You can disable sound in your profile settings, there's an mchat tab in which you can disable it.

Re: welcome information about this Artwork

Ah, I got some info from a friend, it's 1992: http://vientdemee.blogspot.com/2012/03/jarre-et-la-peinture.html Dorénavant Jarre se consacre presque entièrement à la musique. Toutefois en 1992 on pouvait se procurer une reproduction d’un tableau de Jarre, que celui-ci avait peint pour une boîte de ch...

The box can fit an A4 print. I will post photos of it this evening if you want.

Re: welcome information about this Artwork

I can't seem to find it in the CotM magazines, issue 7 (1991/1992) has a black&white print of it on the last page, so it must be around that time I guess.
I do have the chocolate box myself, not the A4 print (and neither the chocolates), but that doesn't have a year printed on it.

I think Conductor of the Masses mentioned it in one of their magazines, I have to look it up. It does come from a chocolate box.

Re: FAKE WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING (EBAY) ITEMS

Yes, and all the "new versions" mentioned in the description.

On a side note: it looks great as usual, but the last track, Zoolookologie (Razormaid remix) must be a mistake: only Zoolook was remixed by Razormaid.
