Re: Jean Michel Jarre - Official Twitter

I remember that model being unveiled at the press conference for the Europe In Concert tour. Looks fantastic! I recall being a bit disappointed when JMJ annonced he'd be playing in stadiums - following a conventioanl 'rock concert' format - not his unique city in concert concept of previously. Then ...

Re: The next opus

Thanks Robi! Yes, he should get the band back together.... Michel Granger in the studio too! For the live "pop-up" event, I'd love to see all the old time hands on stage with him: Dominique Perrier, Francis Rimbert, Michel Geiss, Christine Durand, Joe Hammer, Guy Delacroix, Sylvian Durand ...

Re: The next opus

My thoughts on the next opus? I know this is perhaps laden with too much nostalgia, but this is what I’d love JMJ to do next: - Single word album title, ambiguous and intriguing - An instrumental album divided into eight parts - No track titles, just numbers - Track 4 the obvious, catchy melodic hit...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre’s Listening Chair

I did enjoy this great selection of tracks they had in the show, I probably will listen to more of this. What is the audience for BBC Radio 3? BBC Radio 3 is classical music daytimes but in the evenings, especially late at night, they broadcast electronica, experiemental and spoken word shows. Uncl...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre’s Listening Chair

I've enjoyed listening to Unclassified with Elizabeth Alker for over 3 years now and have discovered some great new music and new artists through her podcast. She’s a fantastic broadcaster. So it was amazing and thrilling to hear JMJ on the show. I’d encourage all on the forum to listen to Unclassif...

Re: Europe in Concert - Behind the Scenes

Brilliant - thanks for sharing! I see now that the venue for EIC 1993 was the large open space at Mote Do Gozo, to the east and outside the city centre, while the setting for the 2010 JMJ show was the landmark cathedral building. I thought both events used the catherdral as the backdrop - in the sam...

Re: Europe in Concert - Behind the Scenes

There are some photos in the Europe in Concert book. But I agree, anything related to this concert is quite scarce. Thanks! I have that book, so I'll go and take a look again. Such an amazing setting I can't beliece it didn't get more coverage. The Seville Expo site was dramatic but there was such ...

Re: Europe in Concert - Behind the Scenes

29th September 1993 - Europe In Concert @ Santiago de Compostella, Spain. I can't seem to find any photos of this. Image search just turns up the 2010 JMJ Santiago de Compostella show. Does anybody have any?

Or was this a scheduled concert that ultimately did not go ahead?

Re: Jean Michel Jarre - Official Website Updates

There's an amazing new image added to the Place de la Concorde concert page, an art poster in the style of the China Concerts. Anybody know where this is from and why/when it was produced? So pleased the website has been updated and fresh (accurate!) photos have been added to the Live pages. His leg...

Re: New Documentary Coming Soon!

I think the promised Part II book (that teaser "...more to follow" suggested a follow-up would be produced?) from Jean-Louis Remilleux would be a brilliant thng for fans. The first book was 1948 - 1988, and therefore only covered the 12 years since Oxygene. A follow-up book will need to co...
