NEW Complete Industrial Revolution Overture

My complete version of this track which I feel is far better than my last thin-sounding effort. The solo is also an improvement. Hope you approve! https://soundcloud.com/mattc-958632216/new-jean-michel-jarre-industrial-revolution-overture-complete-cover D50 Patches are: Machine Run P. Knight Strings...

Love the solo! Also reminds me of thhedk's version of it back in the day, and how it made me realize how "tactical" it was of Mansfield to not show whether or not Dominique Perrier used the pitch bend. ;) The Industrial Revolution solo, I believe, due to the differing pitch bends, was a D...

Paul Wiffen who created the Roland D50 sounds for Revolutions ( on request of JMJ after doing so for the Synthex and Rendezvous ) said that although he was involved in the preparations on stage at Docklands, in the end, due to Health and Safety, everything was switched off and the performance mimed....

Yes, you can hear the 'new' solo played over the first pass of the chorus which I imagine is live as it's very simplistic to play ( I think it's unnecessary and I don't care for it ) but the original solo is definitely mimed and I doubt has been played live ever - made in the studio and playback eve...

What's Live - What's Not?

I always wondered what the Docklands Concert would have sounded like had the rain not resulted in Health and Safety insisting all instruments were turned off and everything mimed I assume there was an initial intention to play some parts live, judging by the enormous amount of Roland D50 and D550 sy...

Annoying I can't get access to it without an Iphone or I patch - whatever that is??? Is it one of those oversized portable telephones/computers that you can do lots of unnecessary things on?

How can I get this app ( what is an app ??? ) into my home computer and do with it what it is intended for?

Old Oxygene Live

Old footage of my Oxygene 4 live cover. I switch the lead back to the sequencer at 1.59 - the moment I switch patches. You can hear me hitting wrong notes at 3.18 during the end solo and a little Equinoxe 2 chord structure at the very end

Thanks again Analogue Umph I'd love to hear some of your music - do you have a Soundcloud page or similar? I'm way behind on the art of creating a good mix - though I do enjoy the challenge of making a replica cover whenever I get the urge. The Revolutions covers came from the fact that I recently b...

Thanks again my friend The tacks you are hearing on my Soundcloud page are full stereo live mixes from the desk straight to 2 tracks in Reaper and straight to Soundcloud so no individual tracks to send I have only just learned to switch a DAW on, never mind using it properly! My monitors are Spirit ...

You guys are right - my mixes are poor and it's an area I am not good at and understand very little of any of the theory, so absolutely no offence taken I agree I do get the sounds and notes close ( which is what I focus on ) I suspect it's my hearing that's been exposed to high noise for years Is t...

A new take on Equinoxe 6.........… I just don't possess the talent to improve such pieces or even add an interesting spin on them so I occupy myself with the technical challenge of rebuilding the classics. Check out this - no presets used here - all made from scratch https://soundcloud.com/mattc-9...
