Dominique was a sensational piano and keyboard player. He will be missed very much bu all the fans around the world.
Bless his soul which keeps on living through his music.

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre presenting his favourite songs through the years

Strange choise though… "Mon légionnaire" is one of Gainsbourg's weakest song and it's a cover version of an Edith Piaf song which is none of here greats either…

That's very sad indeed. I interviewed him as Kanta mentionned it earlier, and it was a treat. He was nice person.
May he rest in peace.

Re: Paris La Defense: Japanese radio broadcast?

(…) I wonder if this element of the show was unscripted, or at least unannounced beforehand by JMJ to the concert sponsors? Or whether they were all onboard with this overtly political message? Whatever the context, it was a bold move. Echos of this same sentiment in Exit with Edward Snowden, many ...

Re: How long will JMJ's stardom last?

Great thoughts brought together, I agree with pretty much of all what you guys said. This is an interesting question that is difficult to answer. Especially since it is in fact the medium because if classical musicians persist in memory it is because scores have been written. (…) Let me be a bit mor...

How long will JMJ's stardom last?

Potentially Huge topic but didn't know where to post it, so it went here. I'm asking myself this question : What do you think of musicologist Ted Gioia's theory about stardom in popular music fading exactly 80 years after of the artistic rise of a musical artist (e.g. Bob Hope)? That time around, t...

Re: FIP Radio - 26/03/2023

Again, Jarre praised the work of Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose for the music of Social network. He also loves Nino Rota. Ans says he likes music more acting on his own rather than illustration everything going on in the screenplay. He says his music from Les Granges Brûlées was something very unusua...
