@Armandox It's nice to read how you gently helped matt here. :D

@matt Don't worry about it mate. A spectrum analyzer, much (wasted :P) time, and good ears are all the tools you need to nail the sounds when it comes to replicating the timbral quality of something/someone else.

I disagree. There's no intention to be a copycat - it's a technical challenge Making a 'replica' cover for me is all about the challenge of dissecting the notes and sounds and rebuilding a performance on my hardware as close as possible to the original and that's not easy! So I disagree when you sa...

Re: Michel Geiss Synthspotting Q&A

Fantastic info - thank you I would have a thousand questions for Michel Geiss, though mostly related to Jarre's music I often wonder if his collaborators get annoyed when constantly asked about Jarre related matters? Hey, are you up for asking those questions still? Synthspotting just told me to se...

David Gola did an absolutely phenomenal job on that.

O5 track comes out so freaking well on a guitar!

Thanks for putting a smile on my face man!

He did a great job with Equinoxe 4 and 5 as well:

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post here. I was wondering if anyone here happen to have a reasonably comprehensive listing (preferably one that's reliable :)) of what synths/keyboards were used for the various parts on Oxygene and Equinoxe, i.e. a synth-breakdown for each of th...

With this album (and the last 3), I can see how much truly Jarre has become irrelevant to electronic music. Which I don't say with any joy. This album, like the last 3 is nothing but pure noise, neither very intelligent nor emotional. Unfortunately. "Equinoxe Infinity" has nothing to do wi...

Fourth and final part of mine and Jarre's walk through his entire studio album discography is up. http://domino.elfworld.org/the-journey-to-equinoxe-infinity-part-4-whos-watching-the-watchers/ That was brilliant. Really good questions asked throughout and answered diligiently and humbly. Ideally, I...

I found that link but I'm not sure that's really JMJ ... :? https://www.pesnityt.net/download_song-306260.html It occured to me when listening to all of his recent music that it really hasn't been "tape-ified" as his 70's music was. It's too "live", i.e. as if it's coming from t...

Wow, thanks melo! I daresay, this is significantly and enchantingly better than what actually ended up being the music video. I really enjoyed this, it has a really nostalgic, friendly feel to it. The one that actually ended up in the public is kinda fun, but obnoxious and forgetable in comparison t...
