's got nothing to do with it. Fell is the simple past form of to fall (simple present). Fell being the simple past of to feel is just a coincedence. It's just an exception in english grammar. Usually, you'd just add -ed to a verb to create a simple past (I walk, I walk+ed), but there are exceptions.
