Welcome to the new BlahBlahCafe!

Currently, we are experiencing some DNS problems. We hope to fix this as soon as possible.

We have migrated to a new server. As with every migration, some things might have been lost in translation (at least, that's my experience in software development). The main problem is logging in into the boards. These could be caused by several reasons:

- Your browser cache & cookies need to be cleared because we moved to a new server. If you get the error message whilst logging: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.", you need to clear your cache & cookies. You can find a "Delete cookies" option at the bottom of this page.

- There is also a chance that your password is not correctly converted to the new system. This is a known bug with migrating the system. The only solution is to request a new password, there's a link on the form that will send an email to you to create a new password. If that fails, I can set a password for you, you can contact us at the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Re-constructed 'Music For Supermarkets'

This may have already been achieved, if so, I'm sorry but, with all the combined skills within this forum wouldn't it be great to have an exact, whole album, replica of 'music for supermarkets'? I've heard many talented musicians on this site perfectly recreate bits of Oxygene and Equinoxe and think it would great to those skills to use by producing a copy of MFS in it's entirety that doesn't sound like its playing under water?

We have at least one member (Radek) who has recreated a fine example of the opening track to MFS.
Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

"A group of men and woman entered the laboratory one month ago to live in a smell free world. Body odour, sweaty arms pits and smelly feet are to create the energy to survive. A total mystery surrounds this experiment, and it's project code name: B.O and Smell'i "

I've never heard these, do you have a link to them?

So far I know of these versions:
MFS 1:
- Johan Schurer (Mercurey 1994 and later a new version)
- Radek Tymecki
- Per Kristian (adds new lead synth and some vocals)
- Miguel Ettema & Stuart James (trance cover on Jarre Forever CD)

MFS2:
- Johan Schurer (Mercurey)
- Scope
-Radek Tymecki

MFS3 (final part):
-FrequenZ

MFS4:
- FrequenZ

Part 5 is Blah Blah Cafe, I've haven't heard a cover of part 6-7 yet.

MFS8:
- Radek Tymecki

And then there is great this mix:
Music For Supermarkets SIDE A Prototype C

1. MFS part 1: by SynthX
2. MFS part 2: by Johan Schurer (Mercurey)
3. MFS part 3: Rendez-vous 5 - part 3
4. MFS part 4: by SynthX
5. MFS part 5: Blah Blah Cafe
He just ripped the above to youtube

Especially I'm looking for these two tracks:

MFS part 1 - Mercurey (Johan Schurer) (live recording)
MFS part 2 - Scope

Anybody can help? :?:

We need "only" 3 parts to complete the "MFS fan reconstruction": part 5, 6 and 7. Come on guys, I know that here in the forum are some great electronic musicians... :D :fine: :D

Great! VinceBlood has made two great cover versions of MFS part 6 and 7 - look here (scroll up):
MFS part 6 and 7
And I have detected in an old thread a very good cover version of Blah Blah Cafe (MFS part 5) by Jean Philippe Bouteille, here is the link (you have to scroll down):
MFS part 5
So now the reconstruction of MFS is nearly complete - I say 'nearly' because MFS part 6 by VinceBlood is only a draft. But now we have for the first time all 8 parts of the album! :D :peacemaan:

Here is the complete list:

MFS Part 1 - ABSYS (Amigabeat System)
MFS Part 1 - Anders Nyman
MFS Part 1 - Miguel Ettema & Stuart James
MFS Part 1 - Per Kristian Risvik
MFS Part 1 - Phoenix1291
MFS Part 1 - Radek Tymecki
MFS Part 1 - SynthX
MFS Part 1 - Zoolookologist
MFS Part 2 - (M)ercurey (Unfinished Version)
MFS Part 2 - Radek Tymecki
MFS Part 3 (Rendez-Vous 5 Part 3) - FrequenZ
MFS Part 4 - FrequenZ
MFS Part 4 - SynthX
MFS Part 5 (Blah Blah Cafe) - Jean Philippe Bouteille
MFS Part 6 - VinceBlood (Draft)
MFS Part 7 (Diva) - VinceBlood (Demo)
MFS Part 8 - Radek Tymecki
MFS Side A - (Prototype C)

So now all we need is some finishing works on these tracks, and a proper mixing+mastering.. :)
Have a look at my organ music videos (No Jarre yet): www.youtube.com/user/gjmusique

Yeah, that would be great! :D A mix in which the tracks flow into each other - like on the original recording.
