I have a feeling Eos was inspired by the first concert made by a computer, named "Partita for Unattended computer" and conceived by Peter Zinovieff.

A bulky computer performed unique randomly generated sequences on stage.

Which is odd, given that FOUR "EON snaphots" were registered at SACEM. Maybe the fourth will be on the deluxe version for €600 :>
FIXED!

https://repertoire.sacem.fr/resultats?f ... #searchBtn

The "snapshots" have been renamed:

Snapshot 1 is now Snapshot 1 (part 1)
Snapshot 2 >>> Snapshot 1 (part 2)
Snapshot 3 >>> Snapshot 2 (part 1)
Snapchot 4 >>> Snapshot 2 (part 2)

And there is a new Snapshot 3 so everything fits now into the format of the box: One snapshot per vinyl with one part on each side (and for the CD 1) and a third snapshot for the 2nd CD.

According to this article

https://www.lexpress.fr/actualite/scien ... 08400.html

an update (due sometime in 2020) might allow one to save and share sequences. Obviously not audio, I'm pretty sure this will be just a seed number used for the random number generator, so that it can regenerate the sequence.

If AI improves in the future, some musicians might be out of work :D Same goes for interpreters/translators... Hmm, I suppose a lot of other fields too.

Probably not gonna happen, but I do wish they expanded EoN in the future with more classic Jarre sounds. Would love to suddenly hear Kokubostrings or the percs from Industrial Revolution Overture (machine run?) or the Ethnicolor/Zoolookologie "tsy" lead sound. ;)

My thoughts exactly! "Eon" would be a better sell to JMJ fans had it included "classic" Jarre sounds. I too was thinking namely about Machine Run. Or the Ethnicolor/Zoolook/Diva vocal loops - they don't have a definite pitch so they could mix well with pretty much anything. Right now it just doesn't feel like Jarre (ok, except that ONE Minipops loop...)
