Ah, it appears to be missing from the "Tell me the truth" album, I can still see the single version on Spotify and Amazon

No news on this front, but for some reason the SC upload for the mcvadsr ripoff has been marked as "re-uploaded" yesterday https://soundcloud.com/simonjensen-musi ... -the-truth

(Granted that that account seems to be one of those "autogenerated by the record company" ones, his personal one's https://soundcloud.com/simon-jensen-741788040)

I do find it interesting that despite messages to AeroProd from quite a few people (myself and Adam included), there's been no reaction whatsoever from them. Sure, maybe they don't care about JMJ covers or remixes being stolen, but still

A quick mini-update: Haven't checked SoundCloud in a while, did so today, and Classicalbanksy (whose tracks Jensen stole and that are still up on Spotify et al) got back to me about Danmark/Orchard trying to get him to take his tweet about the whole matter down, and claiming that they've taken measures to remove Jensen's tracks...

Still bemused by JMJ/AeroProd not responding to any of those emails/FB messages about all this

Okay, something's happened since his SoundCloud profiles (https://soundcloud.com/simonjensen-music/ and https://soundcloud.com/simon-jensen-741788040) have finally been blanked out as are his Apple Music and Spotify pages.

Who knows how long they'll stay down and/or for him to reappear under an alias and try again..

(After all, there's a chance he/Orchard Music (or whatever) removed them on their own, but still)

Answer: 2 days - well, one day judging by the release dates on Deezer

Welp, it seems like only the Soundcloud uploads have been removed (for now), all the previous releases have been restored on Spotify (this time under a "2021 SEJA MUSIC" copyright, but the contents are the same)...

So much for JMJ's CISAC crap when stuff like Pandomonium's original track is still "Maybe" on the Simon Jensen "Mr Max" album - after all, that one isn't a JMJ cover/remix.

Not to mention how a mash-up of JMJ's HSBC tracks is now "The Dream" on Jensen's "Tell Me The Truth" album, and "The Voyage" in "Love" is still ripped off of a bad YT "studio version" of the Rendez-Vous in Space track.. you'd think that after all the messages they've received via email and FB, someone at Aero Prod would have taken a look at these things even for a fraction of a second (even for a quick non-helpful response like "We'll look into it").

But yeah, I think at this point I'll just have to stop paying (regular) attention to this stuff - after all, aside maybe from the nearly 170k listens Jensen has received from the Oxygene 4 remix he ripped off from mcvadsr, at the very least Jensen isn't earning any money off his ripoffs :P

I did some checking up on this thief, Simon Jensen. It looks like it is his real name, and not just a stage name. He lives here in Denmark, and his website is: https://kunmusik.dk
Now the website looks homemade, and according to DK-Hostmaster (the danish “.dk” domain) https://www.dk-hostmaster.dk/en/find-domain-name, he lives in Store Heddinge (60Km from Copenhagen). The website is registered to “Stevns Lokal TV c/o Simon Jensen”. Now this local TV station dos not exist at all, but I guess he thinks it dos.

I found another article, where he is looking for musicians to play his concerts (https://musikerkontakt.dk/opslag/15836- ... eger-band/). Here the email is manager@kunmusik.dk

He must be a real nutcase, and as to what I can read from his website and facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Simon-Jensen-103601898270965/), he claims that he is the sole artist and creator of his music, including “Tell Me The Truth”, which he claims has won him a price.

In this local news paper article (https://stevnsbladet.dk/debutalbum-med-lokal-musiker/), he talks about his success with the album “Love”, on the German marked via his record label “Gateway Music”, and talks about the next album he is working on.

Not that I am sure, but I guess that he steals from other artists, that doesn't have permission from JMJ ether (“fair use, non commercial work?”). Simon clearly tries to make a living of other peoples work. You can even buy his “Tell me the truth CD” (https://merchcity.com/product/simon-jen ... -truth-cd/). It really makes me mad, and that no one asks him any questions about copyright. According to what I can find, he claims that he works together with JMJ. I find that highly unlikely.

Thanks for the heads-up, TheDane. Makes sense that he's bragging about being "the sole artist" of his "work", when Spotify/Apple et al haven't done anything proper to remove his albums...

To make matters worse, on Spotify's JMJ page (Finnish Spotify, at least) there's a claim that JMJ is performing in Denmark on September 13th...

... but when you click the "find tickets" link (Löydä lippuja in Finnish), well, who do we have here once again:
https://www.ticketmaster.dk/event/simon ... 49986_7521

*sigh*

That is just beyond crazy.

The little town of Store Heddinge is very very small (village?). When I google "Snurretoppen" in Store Heddinge, it's a very small theater for the locals, not a big venue like JMJ would use for his concerts. See the local news paper article here: https://stevnsbladet.dk/snurretoppen-ge ... il-august/
According to the article, the theater is not doing to well do to the pandemic (2020).

On the ticketmaster.dk link, it's Simon Jensen's name again. Here is the same address as on the web-domain owner: Kunmusik Bovangen 59A, 4660, Store Heddinge, Denmark. When google that address, it's a residential building.

The theater looks tiny with 12 rows 8-15 seats.

I don't think JMJ would turn up at the concert :D

Here is what it says on the booking site for he's concert (rough translation - Mind that the spelling is a bit "child like", and not very professional):

Simon Jensen - Love

Concerts here in Snurretoppen. It's going to be a cool concert.
Simon is a musician in the field of electronic, dance and pop music. He is a writer and composer, and he has made all of his own songs. The most known songs he has made is "Tell Me the Truth" which goes under pop dance and electronic. "Tell Me the Truth" has won a musical price. "Love" is also a known (famous) number, just like "I Love You", which he made for his wife.

Now he is ready again, this time in his home town, Store Heddinge, on Monday the 13th in Snurretoppen. It's going to be a crazy evening with cool music.

(Original Danish text)
Simon Jensen – Love

Koncerter her i Snurretoppen, bliver en rigtig fed koncert.
Simon er musiker inden for elektronisk, dance og pop musik. Han er forfatter og komponist, han har selv lavet sine melodier. De mest kendte numre han har lavet er ”Tell Me the Truth!” som går ind under dance pop og elektronisk. ”Tell Me the truth” har vundet en musik pris. ”Love” er også et kendt nummer, ligesom ”I Love You”, som han lavede til sin kone.

Nu er han klar igen, denne gang i hans hjemby Store Heddinge d.13/9 i Snurretoppen, Det bliver en vild aften med fed musik.

Using JMJ's name like that to con people into buying tickets, is illegal. Is there a way to warn/notify Spotify and JMJ?

Yeah, no mention about "Rendez-Vous in Store Heddinge" on JMJ's site either ;)

Spotify's help/report sections are a mess: The only real change in Jensen's albums has actually been the removal of his lift of my Teo & Tea remix (it's not present in the current Spotify/Apple Music releases, probably still in the Merch City one), for which I somehow managed to send a message to Spotify about it (on some kind of a "report a track if you're a Spotify artist and someone is falsely attributing your track to themselves" page - which I managed to do with just my regular Spotify listening account for some reason). I never got a response from Spotify (and I had filed a similar thing on SoundCloud as well), but that's the only thing that has stuck in this "Jensen saga".

However, some of the other people whose tracks have been stolen have tried the same thing to no avail, so ... it's really a mess.

Also, does anyone know what happened to Mercurey? The track "Maybe" was ripped off from one of their tracks, which used to be reposted on SoundCloud at https://soundcloud.com/user7564131/m-er ... s-remaster

Especially telling is that that repost has now been removed, whereas the remainder of the JMJ FanMix SC account remains frozen in time to 10+ years ago... and that repost was certainly up a few months back when Jensen's ripoff of it was confirmed (seen previously on this thread)

Mercurey disbanded a long time ago, Johan (he used to be LeoDav on this forum) went on his own solo stuff but I haven't seen him for years. I'll try to contact some people who used to be in the band.

Cheers - considering that Jensen stealing JMJ covers and remixes might be a bit more complicated from a copyright point of view, his theft of other people's original tracks (namely by Mercurey and Pandemonium Music) would give them a far better advantage to flag his releases for some concrete action.

(Potentially)

Dos it make any sense to report Simon Jensen to JMJ's people? There is the official email address: contact@aero-productions.com from https://jeanmicheljarre.com/

Do any of you know if that is just a waste of time, or do they take copyright violations seriously?
