Amazonia within easy reach of the metro
RATP is supporting the return of culture and is joining forces with the Philharmonie de Paris to offer its travelers an immersion in the Amazon rainforest, through a series of photographs by Sebastião Salgado from the Amazônia exhibition and exhibited in 7 stations and stations.
A photographic and sensory journey
After having traveled the planet and covered many conflicts in Africa and Kuwait, Sebastião Salgado traveled for 7 years in the Brazilian Amazon, photographing the forest, the rivers, the mountains, the people who live there. This mysterious universe, where nature reveals its immense power, imprinted in the eye of the humanist photographer striking images, testimonies of the beauty but also of the fragility of the Amazon rainforest. Conceived from the sounds of the forest from the sound archives of the Museum of Ethnography of Geneva, a musical score by Jean-Michel Jarre accompanies this sensory walk in the heart of the Amazon. To discover the sound clips, travelers can scan the QRs displayed near the photographs on the network.
