Yeah, I read about it. Looks like we will have to keep an eye open for the future.

On the other hand: maybe AOR is on the M&R CD too.

Maybe, even, both are related :

Because the INA is about to work on those archives, JMJ decided it would be a good idea to release his old and / or unreleased work :P

Let's dream on

Does anyone know of any recordings of the AOR Ballet/know someone who saw it?
I'm surprised I could find info on AOR at all.

Thanks for all the excerpts. They're interesting to listen too. Really reminds me of his real early work, which I love. In all of those excerpts, I could hear elements from-

Exasperated Frog
Bee Factory
Eros machine
La Cage

And more.

Well, apart from the eye witness review from that French bloke, there is no-one I know who's been there (in the audience).

There is a recording, it is said one member of the old Jarre.net site has it.

If anyone knows who this is, they should contact them and ask 'em about the audio quality and stuff.

You already heard something from it in the form of the five Jarre.net samples.

But asking won't help, otherwise we would have gotten it already. She got the recording with the condition not to copy it.

Good advice. There's as much chance of contacting the owner of the Supermarkets LP asking to copy it ... if only :D

The evening AOR was played, the opening of the Palais Garnier (the Opera), there were two other ballets, starting with Etude, AOR followed. The other two ballets had classical music.

Hi,
I went in INA and I found Setyricon, Dorian, Sport en fête but not AOR. It seems, this music has never broadcast on radio. Idem for Le Labyrinthe. I know Nathalie Gallois has got Aor that JMJ gave to her but she doesn't want to make copies. Actually, Jarre has published Hapinness is a sad song so we can be sure he will edit Aor in the future.

The vaults of French TV. It's founded by the GRM, where JMJ was part of late 60s. Since 1973 they've actively started archiving and they're digitizing everything now. They're probably the best digitized archive in the world.

Check it out here: www.ina.fr

There's a lot of stuff there. I found the Sport en Fete thing there, JMJ made the theme for that program in 1973: http://www.vdgeest.net/jarre/mp3/sport_en_fete.mp3

And they also have locations in Paris and other places. You can view other videos there, not available on the ina.fr website.
