having talked about addictive synthesis with virtual instruments (VST-Reason),
I wonder if you know this one: Supersonic

or is interested in trying it.
I'm not sure. It seems very useful though. I'm really liking it.Polarity wrote:is it a good one then?
deserving to be checked and bought?
can it make some of the RMI Oxygene sounds?
I was trying other plugins today...
Reaktor could do it now :pAnalog-Umph wrote:
Not RMI sounds though. No VSTi can do that ...yet.
Esp since the RMI HS doesn't use standard sine waves, but square waves. Sine waves produce a less interesting spectrum, even when you use 16 of them. Iow, close but no cigar.
Yes i've been looking for that one since months, but the link as change....Analog-Umph wrote:Yup, that's why it sounds so raw and rough around the edges. Very metallic, at other times very cheezy. If that means anything.
There was a guy here who actually had access to someone's RMI and he made an ensemble in Reaktor from the research he did.
But he would not share it with anyone. It was ok, relatively useful, but you could tell it was software.
In fact here is a pic of it:

Square waves ARE sine waves Fourrier Man !Polarity wrote:Cool, but.. sine waves?
Analog-Umph wrote RMI HS actually used square waves (I didn't know that till today).
Yeah, that's exactly what you get from using the square wave waveform as the base.Beelooo wrote:With sine wavaform, i'm comming close to Oxy5 bass sequence, but missing high harmonics for the "raw attack" (guess you'll understand me)
Actually what I was meaning Beeloo.Analog-Umph wrote: Yeah, that's exactly what you get from using the square wave waveform as the base.
Sinewaves come out way too smooth and you'd probably need 256+ harmonics to get the same result.
Doesn't have enough analog umphPolarity wrote:The Oxy5 bass sounds good to me.
I need everything :pAnalog-Umph wrote:I have downloaded everything from the web about the HS, except the hardware itself.
Anything you need?
