The more I listen to the new tracks the more I really dig them. I think this could be the most ambitious album-project he has ever done. Go ahead, JMJ ! :peacemaan:

But thats just me being picky - nice to hear something great again! Van Buren is good at what he does and has made some great songs with people.
That cheesy "dancefloor build-up" is typical to trance music. And they respect it.

I would like to hear a Jarre version too. Something like the reworked version of Watching You from Jarre. 8)

Moving away from Stardust for a second (which is VERY Jarre-ish, btw), have anyone else had their order from MyPlay Direct for the special, very expensive, vinyl edition just vanishing?

I haven't received any updates via email about the status of the order, and when I checked Paypal now, the transfer order was neither in my history, active nor future views.

Also: Jarre's shop and page on MyPlay Direct is not there anymore! And, I cannot find any links to it from jeanmicheljarre.com either.

Anyone knows what's going on?

Ok, Glenn helped me find the shop again and I can see that jeanmicheljarre.com still has my order as "processing." It's deleted from Paypal, though :(

I noticed that the fan box payment had disappeared the other day. I cancelled that and purchased the deluxe box set. Macey from myplay emailed back within a couple of hours saying it was fine to cancel and as no money had been taken yet it was straight forward.

Looks like itunes has been updated with a new Track Story, John Carpenter this time:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/jea ... 54294?mt=2
a track called "A Question Of Blood", mentioned in the Mojo article already.

I can't watch it, but I think a youtube version won't be too far ahead.

I saw the "A Question Of Blood" track story. The Parts that we hear sounds very filmish, like a John Carpenter movie.

I've watched quite a lot of his films, I think The Thing and Escape From New York are fantastic. Lost Themes, the album he released last year, was great too, it oozes mood.

Wow. I am not one to post very much on this site. But I have followed Jean Michel for many years. I have just watched the track story with John Carpenter. I feel this is something we have been waiting for for may years. Jean Michel has shown he is capable of creating music that his father was able create all those years ago.

I see this music being the new souvenir of china :D :D :D

Sounds interesting, but I'm not a big fan of the melody (thankfully it's not JMJ's doing!)

To be honest we do not know who is the main composer of the new music that involves Jean Michel and John Carpenter. As we also do not know completely how much work goes into all the collaboration that goes into all the new tracks that will be on Jean Michel's new album.

I think more individuals should give credit to Jean Michel Jarre and the fact he is working with amazing musicians that are and have been in our world.

Hmm... it sounds like something Tangerine Dream would have made on one of their soundtracks in the 80s.
Carpenter's music does sound a lot like TD, at least the Lost Themes album does.
