Don't know if this has been discussed yet. I was wondering what you guys thought about the artwork of Electronica : The Time machine :?:

The normal version I couldn't care less about. I thought Jarre didn't want his face to be the cover of his albums anyway? I kinda prefer the Deluxe set cover, but only because of its minimal design. Can't say either version is really good.

Edit: I recommend everyone to listen to the 3D versions. Rely On Me has a pretty awesome opening. Though the 3D doesn't work at all. It just sounds like a bunch added reverbs and that's really it. Really wish there was an actual 5.1 remix.

I quite like it, but I preferred the white pre-order design. I really like the deluxe set artwork.

Just out of interest shadow, did you listen to the 3D versions on headphones or on speakers ?

Why should there be only one of these 2 options?

AFAIK Travelator Part 1 is going to be on Electronica 2, and Travelator Part 3 which will be on the Remix EP 2 - confused yet ?

First negative Review:

I agree with "if" is the worst song on the album, better he would not have done .
But they don´t understand the purpose and background of his thoughts on the Album :(
Should asked him before writing this Review.

I used headphones. I thought that was the idea of these mixes. I can't listen to them on speakers at the moment.

And again, for the people who prefer the Deluxe Edition cover I remade it. One with Jarre's name on top and the other on the bottom. Take your pick! :)

I miss these remixes :

Glory –Steve Angello Remix
Conquistador- JMJ Remix
Watching You- Jarre reworked version
Watching You – Extended 3 D Mix

and for sure the Tangerine Dream Beyond and ...Remix

Now we got all of these terrible boring Little boots remixes :x

My personal ranking:
1. Jean-Michel Jarre & Boys Noize - The Time Machine for me the Best !!!
2. Jean-Michel Jarre & Armin Van Buuren - Stardust
3. Jean-Michel Jarre & John Carpenter - A Question Of Blood
4. Jean-Michel Jarre & Gesaffelstein - Conquistador
5. Jean-Michel Jarre & Pete Townshend - Travelator (Part 2)
6.Jean-Michel Jarre & Vince Clarke - Automatic (Part 1)
7. Jean-Michel Jarre & Vince Clarke - Automatic (Part 2)
8. Jean-Michel Jarre & Laurie Anderson - Rely On Me
9. Jean-Michel Jarre & Fuck Buttons - Immortals
10. Jean-Michel Jarre & Moby - Suns Have Gone
11. Jean-Michel Jarre & Lang Lang - The Train & The River
These tracks above sounds great to me :D

12. Jean-Michel Jarre & Air - Close Your Eyes
13. Jean-Michel Jarre & Tangerine Dream - Zero Gravity
14. Jean-Michel Jarre & 3D - Watching You
These 3 are "ok" for me

15. Jean-Michel Jarre & M83 - Glory
16. Jean Michel Jarre & Littele Boots - If
These both tracks I think are annoying and poorly

What do you think ?

I still don't own a new pickup to play them myself so I couldn't check, but this is pretty good news! But is this exclusive for the Deluxe Box or also the Fan/regular vinyls? Anyone with those who can check this out?
..good question.

I got and email that my album is ready to download, but it's not because I'm on the east coast of the US. 4.5 hours, I guess :D

Can anyone tell me what the second card is for? The one with the www.myplaydigital.eu url?
The site doesn't exist and the other card lets you download the music anyway? Overall, I really like the album. Automatic (pts 1 and 2) is probably my favourite.

Do you actualy thinks that Jarre himself signed all those 1000 piece of papers?? Realy? I don't think so. It is very obvious that some members of the record company signed this in the name of Jarre. That is very normal. 1000 signatures from 1 person to each box? Don't believe this. Jarre signed nothing on these boxes.

Received a message that the album could be downloaded from MyPlayDirect's site. "Okay, sure? That's kinda convenient". Clicked on the links, it says it can only be downloaded on October 16th... which is now, of course.

Then I got an e-mail "Your order from Jean Michel Jarre Store has been confirmed" that lists the total sum as the correct withdrawn one 201.10 EUR. Which is nice and all, albeit a bit too late, but here's hoping they're not gonna charge it again. Who knows witih these companies. :P

Gonna crank up the vinyl version at a later point today, when I get my set-up ... well, set up. A shame I don't have an amplifier (which would be too much of a hassle in an apartment building anyhow), though.

Also, on a different note, now that the album is actually out, shouldn't we have new threads for "official" reviews and fan thoughts and the like?

A second box is currently being shipped... this is a mess!

As I previously wrote: "Ordered weeks ago and used paypal for payment and received the an email, that the order has been cancelled. I re-ordered with my MasterCard, not working... I re-ordered again with paypal. Received an order confirmation. Paypal shows now 2 orders..."

So I have one box at home, where my account has been charged for and another one on it's way, where nothing has been charged yet...

If nothing will be charged, fine for me, but still a mess...
