It's gone at 250 euros, not too low for that module, I think it's the normal price. I paid the keyboard version 400 euros... Quite expensive knowing the display was very weak (still is) and the keyboard wasn't working perfectly (a few keys that are repaired now so it works fine).

It's still more expensive than a TG-77 (also on my wishlist, but I think I'll go for the SY-99 as soon as I have my new job next year)

On what synth does Jarre play those eerie but beautiful choirs? I just love the female voice on Chronologie part 3? The strings are also absolutely fantastic! Anybody who knows? :)
After more years, I raise this question.
In my opinion, it is excluded that this sound (we are talking about the sound of the main theme) comes from the ROLAND JD800 or the KORG 01W.
I have a few months a KURZWEIL K2000 and there! I'm pretty sure it's from this one. Because the architecture of some presets looks like it.

I'm talking about the main sound of chronology theme 3. Some presets classified as wind instruments have the same expressiveness, the same timbre, modulation, effect (I think the algorithms have a lot to do with it).
I will do some testing and further research on the k2000 along these lines.

On my Triton (which has some M1 and other waveform from older synths) has very similar sounds for Cello and other strings. What i mean is that for me the cello and strings sonunds are very close from Korg waveform.... And why not the 01W ?

Absolutely Blatman, cello and string type sounds are also convincing on the KORG 01W
