I decided to go ahead and resync the sound for the faraway Moscow recording as well. Only 40 minutes, but interesting perspective regardless. The sound I used was actually mono, but manually processed by about 10 different plugins to sound like it's stereo :D

Well, from now on I have also decided to dabble in audio restoration. But at some point I am probably going to slow down with the uploads.

Just tried to mix something from the 1997 tour. The video doesn't have much hope, but the mashup sound ended up being quite alright. Only one song for now, because syncing takes ridiculous amount of time.

Final result. Warning: the sound has a lot of inserts/cuts from other concerts in the tour.

Thanks for your hard work.

I've downloaded your Sevilla EiC concert restoration from Youtube, and the improvement is really awesome.

Can I ask for access to "the database" in order to download your videos without Youtube's filtering? I'm also looking for a good capture from VHS of Houston concert.

Thanks in advance!

The latest one, in case anybody's still reading the forum. I'm probably going to be done with JMJ remastering for a while now. Next year promises to be busy...

I have never seen this! Awesome, thank you!
I still recommend the first link where I have mixed various soundtracks from officially released concerts. It fits the image much better, especially in headphones it gives a true feeling for the concert.
I'd completely forgotten about this one. Thanks for sharing. :)

It helps that the source was a sealed Betamax tape.

Usually yes, fine-tuned for each video. And it takes a while to test out various combinations. But sometimes I also combine different renders based on the best parts. For example sometimes there may be glitches in the first pass, so I would have to change the settings and then replace the glitched sections with a second vid. Deinterlacing is also important however. I do it in a different program, although latest topaz versions also seem to be good at it. But then upsampling to 4k is done in After Effects using scaleup plug in. This is in a nutshell. The sound sometimes needs attention too, Sony Vegas still works well for basic video-audio editing.

Indeed, I'm sorry I didn't mention it. Many thanks for providing the digitised video.
