Usually yes, fine-tuned for each video. And it takes a while to test out various combinations. But sometimes I also combine different renders based on the best parts. For example sometimes there may be glitches in the first pass, so I would have to change the settings and then replace the glitched sections with a second vid. Deinterlacing is also important however. I do it in a different program, although latest topaz versions also seem to be good at it. But then upsampling to 4k is done in After Effects using scaleup plug in. This is in a nutshell. The sound sometimes needs attention too, Sony Vegas still works well for basic video-audio editing.
