Exactly what happens in the transition between Pt 5 and Pt6? The transition is flawless! It's almost like the rhythm and backing track just continues from Pt 5 into Pt 6, but if you try to play the Pt 5 main melody on top of Pt 6 you find that it just doesn't fit. I've always tried to get my head around this transition, but I just can't figure out what's going on. Where does 5 end and 6 start?tinmachine wrote: 2. Also: I'm a bit confused about where Pt 7 starts. According to the time written on my original LP pressing, Pt 7 starts after the build up that Jarre always includes when playing Pt 7 live. This means that the intro to Pt 7 was originally the end of Pt 6.
On my first CD pressing of the album, this is also the point where the track indicator on the CD player changes from 6 to 7, but on the remastered version of Equinoxe, the track changes from 6 to 7 at en earlier point, but not from the beginning of what you would assume was the start of 7.
