Seems there will be a new JMJ release with remixes of OxyMore:

Image

Release date: 3.11.2023

"Oxymoreworks" is a collection of collaborations with other artists covering a wide range of electronic genres. The nine-piece work includes reworkings of tracks from Jarre's 2022 album "Oxymore." Each track was composed and produced by Jarre in direct collaboration with the respective artist, resulting in a distinctive new version that showcases the shared artistry of both musicians.

Jean-Michel Jarre said of the collection, "Oxymore held a special place in my heart as it embarked on a truly unique sonic journey. With the deep joy of collaborating with other artists, similar to my previous project Electronica, I wanted to create a new perspective on my music. I reached out to musicians who I believed would add a fascinating dimension to each track with their diverse talents. Oxymoreworks is a testament to the art of collaboration, a vibrant collection of musical dialogues."

Oxymore was released in October 2022. Conceptually, it is his most ambitious and groundbreaking album to date, and the first commercial release of this scale to fully utilize multichannel and binaural sound (spatial 3D). Jarre produced, composed, recorded and mixed in 360-degree audio at Radio France's "Innovation" studios.

Tracklisting

2 Jean-Michel Jarre x Brian Eno - Epica Extension
3 Jean-Michel Jarre x Deathpact - Brutalism Reprise

At this point I have most already purchased digitally, but might pick it up if I ever find it for a cheaper price. Surprised there's only so few remixes, there's enough other tracks left on the main album that could also get something different...

Yeah, a real shame there aren't more tracks on here. However, def looking forwards to "Epica Maxima" and I hope I'm not disappointed!

There was a time when even in the digital version, there was the digital booklet or some extras.
I don't know if I should continue to "pay"... for what?

Why should you pay anything for this? You can listen everything on YouTube, mainly to a remix album.

Anyway, there won't be any booklet? I mean, the album will get physical release?

If you find it worth the money, pay for it, if you don't stream it on YouTube. Seems like an easy enough solution.
Thinking about it, might get the record and hoping that it's less loud than the digital versions.

I deliberately hold off buying the digital tracks because I was hoping for a physical release. Luckily, my patience paid off.

Might get the physical release since some of those remixes are quite nice.

Definitely better than Jarremix ;)

Looks like there's a gatefold sleeve for the vinyl:

Anyone found this available for pre-order in the UK?

I can find it on Amazon Germany, nowhere else. Is this not getting a UK release?
