Ah, yes.

Then again, Sony was already at it 21 years ago: https://www.ebay.de/itm/JEAN-MICHEL-JAR ... 7675.l2557

(Also amusing how, after multiple relistings of that item, that guy still seems to hope that someone's gonna pay something like 60 € for that typo only :p)

Well, the first major f***up that for some reason CANNOT be ever corrected was back in 1982 with the infamous "Magnetic Fields I" on CiC.

Oh yeah. On my personal vinyl rip of CiC I didn't separate it as its own track, and I've substituted it with the actual "for-a-brief-moment the official China Concerts 2008 DVD" version of the track for my MP3 version of CiC (which is otherwise comprised of the 1991 CD versions).

(Come to think of it, if JMJ/Sony really wanted to make things interesting they could just do the same thing and put the VHS version of MF1 on the album instead. But it will never happen.)

Also, kind of a shame that the next "Planet Jarre" track uploaded on YouTube was the same-ol' version of Souvenir of China - was hoping for one of the "retouched tracks". :\

Well one sloppy mistake after the other. I don't even like the design.
And how the f*** am I supposed to play those tapes? All my tape players and Walkmans broke down centuries ago
because there were too many tiny moving parts in there that could break and f*** up the tapes! I'll buy this when hell freezes over. 8)

You're acting as if someone is forcing you to buy them and play them. I'm not sure I'll ever play them, maybe just one time for fun (if my walkman still works). I don't even play the CDs I buy, not to mention the vinyls from Oxygene Trilogy and E1/2 (to be precise I didn't buy the E1 box, it was a <showingoff>gift from you-know-who</showingoff>)

Basically, it's a bit better than a fan-made VHS->DVD conversion, and a nice collectible. 8)

Oh, that is interesting. Had no idea this existed. Is the audio any good? Would love to get at least the audio...

It's pretty good for AC3 @ 192 kbps. I think the DVD version of MF1 even has some extra Theremin(-like) sounds not present in the VHS one.

A shame that the 2008 near-official version of Rendez-Vous Houston never got as far as the CiC one (AFAIK there were no shipped copies), who knows what kind of an alternate version it could have been.

At any rate, here's hoping for the next #PlanetJarre teaser to be one of the "retouched" tracks.

I.e. "with a fadeout to fit the desired shorter length"?

Still hoping for a pleasant surprise. ;)

Well, it seems that today's Souvenir of China upload actually isn't from the 2014 remaster. For what it's worth!

It's unavailable in most of Europe for some reason. And even in US it is not listed.

Nothing to miss: the Audio-part is the 'Souvenir de Chine'-Track we all know since 1982 and the Video-part is simply the Planet-Jarre-Cover.
