He really should not use that word and if he does, to expand the meaning. :p:  :fine:

Guys, it was not Jarre who said "departure" in that interview, it was the author/interviewe Steve Pumfrey who used that term. But it is that term that has made me certainly wonder to what he means by that.

The In-Doors series of concerts will be a departure.

“It will be the total reverse of the Oxygene tour,” he said.
The latter sentence gives the image that it's going to be "a departure from the last tour". But that's lousy wording no doubt like:
THE IN-FLOORS SERIES OF CONCERTS WILL BE A DURAN DURAN.

"MY CROISSANTS will be a total reverse of the Oxygene Doom! Tour! Sacre moog!", he implied

Heh, the google translation for that is funny

"We can cough up blood and pretend that we have Franz Kafka. It will be an interesting interview. "

Yes, yes it will be.

In any case, it seems like the laser harp will make an appearance. Probably.

Actually the coungh blood thing was kind of a joke, as they were talking about having a cold.
Interesting points:
He will try to do the concerts as live as possible without computers.
He says the laser harpe will indeed be on stage, but in another appearance (whatever that means). He says it's important because it's a greatest hits tour.
He says he is interested in putting Copenhagen into the tour maybe next year (might be interesting for Andro).
The setlists will vary from concert to concert.
He is thinking about new ways of distributing his music.

It's difficult to cut it down to a few points as I did. Since it's Ras who did the interview, there's a chance that it will be translated and become available on magneticfields.dk however that's just a guess based on what Ras' and the other people at magneticfields.dk did with pasts interviews.
At least nothing points in the direction that JMJ is about to retire, as all that crap from earlier confused some of us about. New musical projects are still in development, which includes the other musicians. According to this interview, Jarre will maybe use some of the possible new material from the tour 8)

Btw. Thanks a lot for the link Robi!

Well I did consider that  Besides the laserharpe information, which was more or less obvious, we still don't know what this new thing is about it. The rest of the information didn't lift the curtains for any real details. The fact that there might be (nothing is for sure) new music has also been mentioned before, so I don't think that was a real spoiler :fine:
