Well, I'm sure it won't be a Metallica album. :punch: :pwned:
Perhaps Pat Rondat will be featured on the album. How's that Andy? :peacemaan:
I hope not, but still it's silly not to recognize some albums for being Jarre albums. :P :pwned:

Sorry to BUMP a topic guys and girls, but when is this new album supposed to be out and does anyone rekon we could be hearing some of it at the O2?
To be honest I thought this 2010 tour could be the stage for a new album. Audiences all over Europe would have got a taste and it would have gone a long way to increase album sales.

Not known yet.
I think it's a "bad step" not releasing a new album before/during 2010 tour, e.g. in September, because a new material would generate more news on tour aswell, and reverse : promotion tour would be good together with promoting new album. Then we'll see.

If a new album is scheduled for x-mas, shouldn't promotion start in september or oktober at least?
I think 2011 is more likely... Jarre's albums always have had delays.

Since he says he's been writing/recording the album whilst touring, that does suggest to me that it will be analogue again, since he has also embraced this original technology for his live shows - going back to his roots, and realising this is not only what he does best, but what people expect of him. This sound is timeless.

Also, does anybody know if Variations I-III will be part of the new album? Or maybe he's keeping those with Oxygene.

I bet that you have seen the video from the studio of JMJ, and there he is recording a song using the clavia's instrument (and the computer). so I don't believe that the album will be fully analog.

AFAIK new album will be mostly analog.

The Nord Stage JMJ is using is possibly just to play around/fiddle/compose etc.
Although the synth section of this should not be underestimated... I find it very useful :wink2:
