also I was wondering for those who bought the vinyl ... does the code provided get the stereo version? or only binaural and 5.1 mix?
In a sense it is not important because the downmix of version 5.1 allows in absolute terms to have the stereo version in a high resolution.

A posteriori I should have taken the vinyl.

So I was looking for where to find the maximum number of photos of the Salgado exhibition to create a visual support integrating the 5.1 mix.
If you have good links, I am interested

I believe the code works the same for both releases - you get only 5.1 abd binaural.
In a sense it is not important because the downmix of version 5.1 allows in absolute terms to have the stereo version in a high resolution.
That all depends how the 5.1 mix was created in the first place. If it was just a simple upmix (like Planet Jarre) then yes, you can just extract FL and FR channels. If it's a custom mix (like WTTOS) then no, downmixing to stereo will not necessarily give you the CD stereo mix (phase cancellations and unnatural volume of certain sounds depending on their placement)

thank you for the clarification. Anyway the stereo mix CD is more than enough.
But for those who just have vinyl ... I thought it's frustrating not to see the stereo digital version as well.

Well, this album is far better than Interior Music, that's for sure ;)

dadwater is on the brink of waking up (to today loudness standards)? Nah I don't think so, only if the next real album would be similar too.

No mention of Ridwello (JMJ's new production assistant) in the booklet.
However, there's a "thanks to Jean-Michel Derain". AFAIR this is the guy responsible for the odd musical mix that was played instead of WFC before the concerts in 2010 (the mix that contained prototypes of Oxygene 19 and These Creatures)

That is the most minimalist website I have ever seen. Brave move!

I just made a .cue file for the binaural WAV file for people who are interested. See attachment.

It's based on the TOC of the CD, which have the same track times obviously.
cuefile.zip
(463 Bytes) Downloaded 293 times
Place the cue file in the same directory as the binaural WAV and the filename of the WAV should be "Jean-Michel Jarre - Amazônia (Continous Mix) [Binaural Audio - Headphones only].wav", as downloaded from the official download page.

I made this file in Linux and since there's a unicode character in the file (ô), things might go wrong according to 1906's First Law: "there's always a unicode problem".

If there's a problem on Windows, create an empty file and copy/paste the contents of my file in it. Most important thing is: make sure the filename of the WAV in the cue file is the same as yours. Save your new file (as a .cue file) and you're ready to go.

Ha, look at that, you're right, it's all javascript. Amazing. Why would anyone do that?
