W9 HD: Enhanced AC-3 Dolby Digital Plus 48.0 kHz Stereo.
RTL Radio: AAC 44100Hz stereo 117kbps VBR (stereo all the time, not mono, but there was mono stream too)
Youtube: Opus 48000Hz stereo 3072kbps 32bit

Edit 2: Holy shit, that non existent transition from Oxygene 19 to Zero Gravity (Above & Beyond Remix) is insane. Damn, talk about one absolutely insane clash with the entire playlist until this point!

Taking out every beat would made the whole set sound a lot better more appropriate with hall of mirrors.
Oxy19 is proof they all would sound a lot better without beats.

Stardust, Zero Gravity sounded fresh in 2016 that's over half a decade ago now they just sound as trying too hard to be a DJ with the EDM.
I thought he had moved away from EDM with Oxy3, most of Equi Infinity, Eon, Amazonia, Oxymore.

There is no musical effort in this performance, he is just going through the numbers. It's disrespectful to be honest to the team that put the performance together, disrespectful to versailles, disrespectful to audience listeners.

Should never play Oxy4 as makes it sound this is the only thing he's known for.
Dropping that Equi Infinity track that sounds as some Eurovision song.

He could easily chosen from :
Oxy 1, Oxy 5 pt1 the pastoral before the fast sequence, Equi 1 2 and 3, Mag Fields 3, Souvenir de Chine,
Ethnicolor 1 the first part and Ethnicolor 2, Rendezvous 1 and 2, Ind Rev 1-3, The Emigrant, Chronologie 1, Oxygene 9,
Millions of Stars, December 17, Near Djaina, Electrees, Heart of noise pt1,
Oxy 15 16 18 20, Equi Infinity movement 1 2 7machines are learning 9don't look back,
Amazonia pt7, Crystal garden, Epica by itself.

A lot of these he would need to simplify so that he could pull it off as a one man band.
Also there's stuff he would never play such as Equi3.

Something I read on the VRROOM discord:

"Looks like there was a VIP session at 8pm, actually live for the concert. That one went smoothly. It is how they got the metaverse footage that was shown on french TV.
I don't think anyone managed to get in at the open-to-all session later on as the servers crashed immediately under the amount of users."

And from VRROOM themselves:
"The meaning is what I was re-iterating yesterday: we worked hard to give you all a free concert with JMJ, but we had more connections than we expected, and our servers got overloaded, causing slowdowns and malfunctionings in the VR app. We are in Early Access and this means we are still improving all our infrastructure, and we'll do our best to avoid similar problems in our next concert. We are trying to obtain the rights to do a replay so that all of you that could not enjoy the VR concert can do it the next time. I want also to personally thank all of you that yesterday understood the situation and was supportive for us... this is good motivation for all of us to improve for our next event"

Fair to say that this met my expectations, i.e complete garbage.

Can we stop with this metaverse bollix now please? No one cares.

Honestly, the idea is novel and in 2020 and 2021 when everything went to garbage, it was a really fun platform to sort of have interactions and a concert.
But yeah, in 2023 when the world has returned to normal (for better and worse), it just kind of feels... Pointless? Especially considering there is an audience right there...

It's a reupload of the YT broadcast. O4 could have been blocked by Sony so the uploader edited it out (don't aask me why other tracks weren't blocked, but it works this way sometimes. I think someone reuploaded WTTOS and Stardust IIRC had to be edited out, as Youtube kept blocking it)

After re-watching the 1980 Place de la Concorde video this summer (subtitled "First Musical Videogram") I think it has quite some similarities with his last virtual concerts since it was presented as a virtual concert too. So I think it's not that new in his mind.

yes indeed but why this piece, in addition there was a montage between the preceding speech and the following piece...
Curious, so I can't find any HD video and my W9 recording is copy protected but the sound is very good.
