If that's true we might see Transformers on Blu-ray and maybe War of the Worlds

Man, I hate format wars...they're so pointless!
Instead
either Blu-Ray
or HD-DVD, why not
both/and??

Good idea, mathetes1963.

That would resolve the answer to Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD.

I remember the VHS vs. Betamax war.
VHS won, not because it was the best format, but because it was the cheapest. I honestly don't know which of these new formats is best, or cheapest, cos I couldn't care less.

War?

What war?
The big dragons told us...it's up to the comsumers to decide
(...and perhaps the profitability

Spielberg never wants his movies on HD-DVD, that's why Close Encounters is on Blu-Ray. And Michael Bay is an avid Blu Ray supporter who was very pissed off that Transformers is HD DVD only.
Anyway, the format war is over, so no need for a discussion anymore. We consumers now know what to get.

Yes, I'll get normal DVD's.
