Reviewers sometimes have points of view that are interesting and they can influence me too... so I don't really agree.

Just found another - this time the prestigious Times of London!:

Three decades after Oxygene, the Gallic son-et-lumiãre knob-twiddler releases a new opus into a market arguably more jaded about technology than ever before and unlikely to get terribly excited by some old roué plugging in his sequencer again and revving up the BPMs for les kids . Sounding like Rick Wakeman collaborating with Faithless, Téo & Téa maxes on cheesy synths and sudden beat explosions, and reminds you how much you hate house music these days. The absolute nadir is Beautiful Agony, which features joyless soft-porn groaning of the type no doubt emitted by a ready-reckoning eastern European as she lies beneath a potbellied billionaire on a Monte Carlo yacht. Classy. One star DC

What doesn't change the fact that "Beautiful Agony", though is an interesting concept , was realized simply poor. ;P

Yeah, I agree... look at Enigma, he uses those kind of sounds much better...
In BA, if you leave out the moans, there's barely anything left...

You're right.

I am glad Jarre tried to do something different but now I have come to realize he was doing something different in order to be commercial and not for experimental reasons, IMHO. I wish he would go down the road of "Live in Bourges/AOR" as I think there are some fascinating things he has yet to discover AND because no one else is doing that! JARRE need to be a leader, not a follower of trends.

Looks liek people are still coloured by the MC808 thing, which nobody really knows the exact facts about. T&T has probably been the biggest experiment because it actually is so not-jarreish. That it sounds more simple is something else.

Don't start that again, PLEASE. It's only monday tomorrow. Sheeez.
