I checked an online solar eclipse calculator for Mexico city: on 21 Aug 2017 there will be full eclipse!
If Jarre still has the energy and passion for this specia project, he should start to plan and seek funding right now.

It will be partial in Mexico, the total eclipse goes thru the States.

It includes interviews with Jean-Michel Jarre and his team of collaborators; and with the celebrated French fashion designer Pierre Cardin, the then Mexican Ambassador to France, Mr Manuel Tello, the then Mexican Ambassador to UNESCO, Mr Miguel León Portilla, and Arnaud de la Villesbrunne, at that time Secretary-General of the Compagnie Internationale de Concerts Spectacles of France. It was produced for Televisa S.A. de C.V., when the Spanish-language network ECO (Empresa de Comunicaciones Orbitales) of Televisa Networks still existed.

Interesting how much effort was put into the concert (and that video, for that matter, considering all the people interviewed), and how a loss in equipment led to the whole project being cancelled for ever. : \

(Not sure why, but I find the inclusion of so many tracks from Docklands instead of La Defense, despite more footage of La Defense being shown, kinda interesting)

There's going to be a total solar eclipse next year in Spain (12.08.2026), and also another one in Spain in 2027 (2.08.2027), the first one in the evening, the latter in the morning. The last ones in Europe for a longer while. Just sayin...
