Quoted for truth.
I think it's like vegatarians, they don't eat meat because of their priniciples, and they would not admit eating meat can be healthy either. The same with 'teetotalers', I guess

A glass of red whine now and then are nice...

I didn't stop drinking alcohol out of principals, I did it for health and that I didn't get the fuzz out of it...now all people tells me that they think I am some sort of lunitic or craze for not drinking. "You can never take a glas of wine to get a healthy heart", "you gotta be crazy", "I would never cheer with a teetotaller" etc is all I hear. So I have got the facts and got into the good templets because of what I am doing. But that don't makes me turn into a vegetarian millitant proterster. I think the people that thinks I have a problem with this are the ones to have the biggest problem.
I am not brainwashed. You see, the fact that was on Swedish TV told that many chientific reserach was made and that people who were teetotallers were not even part of the research or taken out from the final result. Because these were made to make wine and alcohol into a social and happy thing in life. Those that were teetotallers were in fact the ones with the best heart health even better then those who drank just one glass of wine each day!

Any kind of wine is tasty, but in small doses.
For me it happens just a few times a year and often to the right kind of food.
Casilero del Diablo is my white favorite...don't know why really.

Excellently put Leeleene, the thing with Red Wine is that it is a de-coagulant - it has several properties that can help the blood to remain 'conditioned' i.e. not clotting too much - I believe that this may be caused by tannin which is prevalent in red wines, but there are also tannins in tea too - these, I believe, are what produce certain chemicals, endorphines, that help to relax and de-stress you. a glass of RED wine on a regular basis is BENEFICIAL for your heart and cardio-vascular system - the practical upshot is RED WINE can help you - too much of course and you are pissed and damaging you liver.
Hope this helps - don't give up a lovely pleasure for the sake of getting worried - a little red wine goes a long way! enjoy

Always in moderation, my preference being Zinfandel.
