Amazing footage - thanks for sharing! Two things:

1) American TV news obsession with traffic never fails to amuse me .... almost no analysis of the themes, aims and ambitions behind the Rendezvous Houston concert, for example the selection of projected images, the technology, the laser harp, the music (no mention of Oxygene, Equinoze of Rendez-Vous) or the musicians in the band. But we all know which roads are blocked. Despite being at home watching the TV.

2) Doesn't he look young at 18'42" ?! I am so used to seeing the short, grey-haired 2016+ version that I had forgotten what 1986 Jarre and his black hair looked like.

Honestly, it's insane to me that it's 2024, and all of these concerts that Jarre did back in the 80's (and even 90's really) are still (officially) incomplete.
You'd think that at some point these concerts would be re-released in a new package with actual new content, but instead, 1 on 1 re-release which are still incomplete.

And yes, Jarre looked ridiculously young for the longest of times. Honestly, I'd say age started to gain traction on him was well in Jarre his 60's.

Keeps me up at night knowing that the full footage for all of these concerts is probably sitting in some store cupboard or dusty basement somewhere.

These are just short clips from news report channels. They're usually not allowed to film more than a few minutes.

But yeah, the full footage would have been great to see. It's too bad there are only 2 bootlegs that have surfaced. And even they are copies of a copy, not from the camera tapes directly.

I still think that JMJ stopped or had to stop using whatever means he used to make himself look even younger when he started the CISAC thing, and that he still might look far younger than he is if he continued to use them.

That said, I think that despite there only being a 3-year age difference between them, Christophe looked older in 2002 than JMJ does now (Not entirely, but at the very least far older than JMJ looked like in 2002)

Slightly updated 30 min footage that was in the original post. It was so dark that not much could be done to improve it. Just a bit of denoising, bloom and brightness, but that's it.
