What do you mean?
I'm afraid it'll be some phone-only stuff, probably hard to rip with a PC. But I wait and see.

Ah.

Doubt it. It will probably just redirect you to some URL. It can't be phone-only unless it forces you to install an app and I sincerely doubt that's the case. And if they somehow made it phone-only then, well, congrats on making lossless audio experience phone-only :))))))))))

I admit that I was quick to order and translated across only to realize that the exclusive content was NFC dependent.
I was thinking of a card with a code like for Electronica Boxset.
And here I really hesitate to take a smartphone just to be able to activate a bonus. If I take an Android Phone and it is only compatible with iPhone (like the EON app)...

Finally, if you cannot download the promised multimedia content, it will remain a frustrating experience. Moreover, if it is the same audio mix that we can hear on streaming sites... it's sloppy work... the transition between 'Le Chateau' and 'Epica Oxygene' is obvious. I'm not even sure that during the concert Jarre said "Bonsoir" and even less in this tone.

let's free ourselves from technology

Nah, Jarre is absolutely obsessed with this VR and AI nonsense despite everything. The most annoying part, all these digital trinkets, they'll be gone sooner rather than later. Electronica extras? Gone. Equinoxe Infinity extras? Gone. All those others, either already gone or soon to be. And how many physical items have we received with anything other than the standard mix? The Electronica boxset with the 3D audio on USB sticks (which isn't the most trust worthy long term format) and the WTTOT Blu-Ray. And it freaking blows :/

As it seems there will be no CD for this release, I have created my own :D

And I'm pretty sure this V400 NFC content also has an expiration date. And if doesn't have one yet, it will. I'm surprised there's no monthly fee required to be able to access the content :P

Not that those non-standard mixes were very interesting to begin with...

Those 3D mixes were, much like the Binaural if you ask me, were utterly worthless. Still really confused why some of these later albums got actual surround, hell even outright Atmos, sound mixes, yet it's all locked to a unique download code which all have expired or through streaming on a single platform only. Seriously, why did WTTOS of all things end up with a physical release.

The 3-D sound mix of "Watching You" by JMJ x 3D (Massive Attack) is the only time I've been genuinely startled by the effect of placing sounds in space. The opening few moments are remarkable. All the other binaural etc mixes are underwhelming, I agree.

Ok... That's very sloppy. I would have ordered the CD instead of the LP if it was available. (But then again, maybe not)
The delay is a bummer, I was hoping to have the record in my hands this weekend.
They probably thought they should have printed some CDs too.
[edit] Just read a post by JMJ:
You asked, and we listened. We are excited to announce the release of the CD Phygital version of ‘Versailles 400’. Each limited edition CD gatefold package includes an NFC tag, granting access to the same exclusive digital content available to vinyl owners. Due to a slight production delay, both the CD and Vinyl will now launch on October 4th. The digital content is exclusive to product owners and cannot be shared.
So yeah, they listend :) That's pretty cool

Yeah, and that price - £35 for a CD? Tough sell for something that already exists in digital form...

(granted mine sold for a similar price, but that was a 2CD limited edition on an independent label and took years to make)

€40 for a single disc edition and announcing it the same day as the delay of the LP. Oh come on people, I get I won't get this for free, but it would've been nice to have been told beforehand and given the option...

At the same time as the Jarre team Newsletter for the CD and Vinyl with new date, I receive apologies for the delay in shipping.
Why not ask now for a signed box set for €150 for Christmas with a blu-ray of the concert with a real link to download and not stream the Hi-res Album.
Ask! everything is possible :punch:

The nice surprise would be that this vinyl or CD edition is qualitative and without cuts between each track. But did we ask for this?

I did, but I'm not on facebook. I did ask on Twitter though, I think.

So you can all thank me :-D
