Ok heres a rushed rough version,Ignore the dodgy playing,i played most of it live into the DAW trying to recall it off the top of my head,couldnt be arsed with midi-ing everything so played by hand so hence the Cockups, I shall polish the playing for the final finished version,need to play around with the drums a little too :?

@AMR,yes it needs Eqing and better seperation,i have only done a rough mix to get the feel of the track,I shall seperate everything properly once i've got everything nice and tight and perfectly played..at the mo i have just recorded everything as is(no Eq/Compression etc)only Modulation used is Ring Mod and a slight bit of delay on the Machine run Loop..
As for the Wav format,i didnt bother converting it to MP3,b ut wish i had of done,File size is rather large 9Mb i think,for that short snippet... :shock:

@LeoDav
I suspect your Ring mods would be Analog given your usual Gear,these are off the Korg D16XD internal FX so are entireley Digital..hence probably why they sound different.

As i've said the playing in parts is shit,so dont rib me..it was a rush job tonight and i'm very tired..will work on it more t'morrow

I like it. It's very original! I only would make the second solo more prominent. It would be a real climax. That would be nice!

I guess there's much to be added here?

I like the way you reversed and flanged the machine run loop, but except for that and the strings and solo, not much is going on. The second solo could do better indeed... ;)

Well its only an "Alpha" version at the moment I'm working on the arrangement and instrumentation,i just did this as a rough sketch last night,to get peoples thoughts,The playing for my usual standards is pretty poor,I'm generally quite critical and note perfect I used to know this track note for note,but its been a few years since i properly played it,(well most Jarre tracks really as I'm totally out of practice due to concentrating on my own stuff for the last year or so...

the D50 parts(except Machine run)were played by hand straight into the D16XD It was an improv effort trying to recall the exact notes and as a matter of course cocked it up,but was so tired i couldnt be bothered to overdub it or play into the sequencer for perfection....but will put more effort into it for the Final cut...

Thanx to all for your comments(good and bad) Full edited version will follow soon :wink:
