Chronologie 4, Oxygene 8, Zoolookologie, are versions from Electronica Tour.

Coachella Opening seems to be a little bit different
I could've wished for the tour version of Glory as well...

Seems that there will also be track by track stories, I was going on Qobuz and came across this one for Magnetic Fields 2: https://www.qobuz.com/nl-nl/album/magne ... 4u1zh635ha

No idea if this was known, but it's new to me.

The Herbalizer track is slightly different from the live version. I like it.
The track story for this song is also available on Spotify.

I think it's overloaded with sound effects, esp. at the beginning.

Those Music for Supermarkets sounds at the end of the video make me want to have a perfect recording of that album

Maybe one day someone will accidentally stumble upon the basement where the perfect recordings for MFS (and PLD) have been held all this time. ;)

I don't want to sound like a broken record (sic), but I'll just take the first part of MFS, please and thank you. The rest can remain "unique" if it has to, I don't care.

Start of side B and end of side B of MfS are for me the most intriguing tracks

Man, a (digital) re-release would be so amazing. Keep that original vinyl unique, but atleast people can listen to the album in decent quality finally.

Well that or whoever own it should make a rip of it and upload it online. But I doubt we'll see that happen, we don't even know who the current owner is :(

Or a Re-Broadcast in today's quality (e.g. via Streaming) with the possibility to make Bootlegs again. Maybe at the 40th Anniversary of 'Music for Supermarkets' ....

Imho track 1 and 2 are the most unique ones on MfS. The rest sounds (more or less) like demo parts to following albums Zoolook and Rendez-Vous.
MfS was basically a gesture against the CD marketing. Well nowadays there are other formats, so...

MFS was a gesture against the recording industry in general - the way they were marketing music “like toothpaste, washing machines and fridges”. As CD’s we’re in their infancy then, IMO I’d say the format was irrelevant then, though certainly not now. I would pay a high premium to have this album in high quality. It is an extraordinary, adventurous and diverse album with a nod to the past and an eye to the future.
