I can only whine about the cold weather here, but still it looks like we are quite lucky here compared to other countries

Cold?
Yeah...
I had a squirrel on the windowsill this morning steaming up the window with his hot breath from the OUTSIDE!
As much as I'd love to go out and get some fantastic pics, it's just way too darned cold and frozen!
Early indications are that it went down to about -8C last night in some parts, but I know from experience here that it was probably a bit colder than that as we back onto a patch of woodland and open country, fields and farmland.....
brrr...
It doesn't beat Feb 1991 when I first moved into my first ever home. Temps that first night were -11C (at least) and I had no heating or electricity... and I slept wearing a lot of clothes!
Gotta be careful though, too much cold can affect your memory... when that happens it's time to either wear an extra layer of clothing, or get somewhere warm - rather sharpish!
It can also make your speech slurred...
Keep active, keep warm and you'll do fine... remember to check on elderly relatives to make sure they're keeping warm and if there's one thing you can do for an old person, it's to make them a cup of tea/coffee.... you won't believe how this simple act can possibly save their life.

If I breathe outside now my head will be stuck in a frozen cloud of water vapour...
If I take a leak outdoor my body will be lifted up in the air by a stick created by my own uri...
If I try to go outside my arm will fall off as soon as I touch the outer door handle...
If I look outside through the kitchen window my eyes will freeze in their sockets and my tongue will be stuck glued against the glass...man it's cold.
...but only -15° so it's cool.

It's snowing right now, -2°C outside.
It has not been snowing like that for about 10 years !! We already have 10cm of snow, the meteo announced a lot more (even 60cm at some places !!)
All the roads are closed, this has never been so silent, I'll take a walk into the center of Aix to take photos, prepairing my material now
