and over the Pennines too... and the Pennines aren't that far away from me... just a couple miles in either direction...

It wasn't all that long ago that we were all in teeshirts and our postman was wearing shorts... now? if our postie wears shorts, I guess I'd just *have* to question his sanity.......

Last night, we opened the back door to see what it's like out there (yeah, being British, looking through a window doesn't always justify what we see.. and yes, it's a habit of ours ) and we heard 'OoooOOoooooooo' 'OOOooOOOoooo'
"An owl!!"
"Thats no owl!" I said, "Thats that bunch of sherry drinking pensioners...! OooooOOooo its cold! OoooOOoo wished I'd had a whiskey! OoooooOOOoo wished I'd remembered my gloves!"

Got something on the way, just not sure WHAT. And got an appointment in my own garden in the morning too - just hope the weather is divinely filthy as it will help me like you'd never believe :D

Been out for a walk. . . . . F?*@ me its cold, that horrible lingering biting damp cold :scarf:

They say that we have the "big freeze" on its way. Charming, eh!. Only time we get anything from America, its heavy rain and winds. Only time we get anything from Europe then its freezing weather conditions. There is a downside to being a small island stuck in between
