I think it is you. I hear nothing like a hickup in the beat! Sounds normal to me.

I just checked what you mean, I don't think it's a skip but there's no doubt an error. It sounds fine on the vinyl though. Guess someone somewhere messed something up.

I'm too lazy to put on the vinyl and my CD is out in the car. However on the Spotify version it clearly sounds like a distortion to me.
Just as it happen it sounds like the drum beats disappears for a sec so perhaps a loose contact from some input/output or a failing sound card?
I'm a bit surpriced that I like the track Rely on Me more and more. It kind of inserting itself with time.

Interesting catch. If we're hearing the same thing I'd be leaning towards "it's part of the drum track" (either a bass drum hit or a clap).

The vinyl doesn't have it indeed. I've listened to the Continuous Mix version too, it has the skip too.

Indeed "confirmed". I think it sounds a bit louder on the Spotify version then on the coded download digital album version. If one concentrate on
"if we had..." and there it is a small "bump" in the drum texture.
Not sure anymore if this "error" is of a technical nature or just the human factor during the process. Not that much to worry about though imho.
Ok my track ranking thus far. It's going to change further ahead I'm pretty sure it will.
1. Immortals
2. Close Your Eyes / Automatic p1-p2
3. Zero Gravity
4. TT Machine
5. Stardust

9. TT & The River

Sorry if I spelled something wrong.
Note the last songs in the list are not "bad".
They just sits there because the others above feels better at the moment.

Interesting!
Someone should make a poll over all the tracks on Electronica 1 just for the fun of it. Like we had for example over the JMJ albums:
http://www.zoolook.nl/forum/viewtopic.p ... light=poll
Which tracks would the members vote for?
Unfortunately I don't know how to make one.

1. Immortals (because it sounds like a track from Aphex Twin from 1994)
2. Glory
3. Close your Eyes
4. Watching you
5. Conquistador
6. If
all the rest is not good and boring.
Hopefully is the second part of the electronica saga much better. Part 1 is old and has done more than a million times before. Electronica 1 is music for grandma and grandpa(de bomma's en de bompa's).
No wonder that Jarre has no sales. Just only for the fanclub.

The music of Jarre is just Passé composé since 1984.

For the "bomma's en de bompa's"? I don't think my grandparents will listen to this kind of music if they still live. My bompa was more into James Last and that kind of stuff! but my dad is now a bompa too, he will be 63 years young this year, and he like Electronica 1. And then you have a reason that this music is for "bomma's en de bompa's". Jarre has no sales with this album? Look to the charts a few weeks ago. He was at number 9 in the Belgium (Vlaanderen and Wallonië) Ultratop!
P.S. I know from my brother that Oxygene and Equinoxe is a very popular album in the musicscene now. Especially in the electro-synth underground scene (in Belgium). He know some of the Belgian artists from there and they really enjoy these albums.

Christophe

My favourites on Electronica 1 are
1. Close Your Eyes
2. A Question Of Blood
3. Automatic (Part 1 & 2)
4. Stardust
5. Suns Have Gone
6. Conquistador
7. Rely On Me
8. Zero Gravity
9. The Train & The River
10. The Time Machine
11. Immortals
12. If..!
13. Watching You
14. Glory
Why "Close Your Eyes" on the first place?
Because this track have the electronic history in it! And it's a catchy track for me. I was in love with it when I hear it for the first time (I think at a radio broadcast).
Why "Glory" on the last place?
I like the introduction but when the more upbeat tempo starts I feel that it's a little bit boring to me. Most of the time I skip this track. I't's not a bad track but I don't feel much affection with it.
I think a fan need to give critics on the artists work. Don't follow the artist blind and saying that you love every song/ track of him. For example I don't listen much (or never) to Sessions 2000 and Geometry Of Love. But still I think Jarre is one of the most interesting artists with a variety of sound and every album is a journey.
Greetings,
Christophe
