He really likes that distressed brown suede jacket, doesn't he? That will become known as the "Oxymore" jacket, surely?! :D

"360° sound and the metaverse are the future of music", says Jean-Michel Jarre

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW Jean-Michel Jarre takes advantage of the Paris Audio Video Show, of which he is the sponsor, to unveil "Oxymore", his new album in immersive sound

Are Jean-Michel Jarre's mega-concerts a thing of the past?

With the Covid, we have changed the paradigm. The stadiums remain indoor concerts, in an enclosed space. Very large concerts outside, for security or ecological reasons, are not in the news. That doesn't mean I won't make it again. In the meantime, I'm interested in exploring these concerts in immersive sound in the metaverse, where I created Oxyville , an imaginary city. We will be able to attend, I hope in 2023, concerts that I will give at the same time in the real world.

Twitch TV interview with Grahame Farmer.
I recommend this interview. The newsitem of JMJ and Eric Prydz which Kanta posted earlier today originated from this. And he goes in depth on some of the tracks on the album.

I think and hope that it's the same content as #147 (monthly issue of November with a special 8-page booklet) that I'm waiting for.

Besides, I finally received my Oxymore vinyl after the first one got lost I don't know where (in the metaverse "??? who knows...)

I find the binaural version excellent because it allows a real separation of sounds that mix too much in the stereo version. I often listen to music through headphones so it's a real plus.
On the other hand, the stereo version for download would have been welcome.
And finally it would have been possible to offer a video file including something close to streaming that we could discover on October 24 with Dolby sound for the immersive side.

I particularly appreciate track #2 "Oxymore" which is closer to the "Jarre" sound, I think.
