At the recent fan convention for the film 'Close Encounters Of The Third Kind', they were pleased when the special guest, Jean Michel Jarre, turned up to pay tribute to the classic film

Jarre concerts attended - Destination Docklands 1988 - Paris La Defense 1990 - Europe In Concert 1993 (Manchester & London) - Oxygene Tour 1997 (Birmingham)

"A group of men and woman entered the laboratory one month ago to live in a smell free world. Body odour, sweaty arms pits and smelly feet are to create the energy to survive. A total mystery surrounds this experiment, and it's project code name: B.O and Smell'i "

JMJ - "At a guess, the lever to the cargo hold doors. . . . as there goes all our bloody keyboards!"

BREAKING NEWS - Keyboard wizard, Jean Michel Jarre is putting together the biggest and most expensive concert - ever. Jarre 59 said yesterday that his next mega concert will be at the wreck site of the most famous ocean liner in the world - Titanic. Jarre said "I am pleased to announce this concert that will be the biggest and most expensive concert ever staged. But due to recent outdoor live shows, the terrible weather has always be the down side. So tomorrow we will raise the Titanic in the hopes that if it rains, we can put the ship indoors"

Claude - "Is that Dreyfus I can see up there being hanged from his testicles?"

Sorry about lowering the tone but I just couldn't resist

Jean Michel - "Why, yes Claude it is. He's there for the audience to throw vegetables and various heavy objects at after the show"

I'm currently writing a text that will accompany this vid of JMJ's about the whole youtube battle. It will tell the story of how Dreyfus has pissed us and JMJ off in the (recent) past. The plan is then to upload it to youtube a couple of hundreds of times with the title saying "RECORD COMPANY DREYFUS SCREWS JEAN MICHEL JARRE" or something similar.

This will get him a shitload of negative publicity methinks

:fine:

Music For Supermarket Clerks Tour 2008. Only one ticket sold.

When JMJ said he wanted a Blue Meanie ARP 2600, he had something different than this in mind.

Image
JMJ: "And zees is ze guy who painted my ARP 2500 blue. Bunny Rimbert!"
FR: "Don't call me Bunny!"
JMJ: "You paint my synths, I call you whatever I want. Bunny!"

Image
Jean Michel Jarre is a really amazing person. He owns six synthesizers of types that have been built for almost 40 years, four cheesy Dutch home organs that people in the Netherlands sometimes give away for free, a homebrew hardware sequencer with less features than the cut-down Cakewalk Sonar version that came with your sound card, and he still seems to have a life.

JMJ: "What do you mean, ze roadies have quit?"

JMJ: "Of course you can have your Small Stone back, Martman! As soon as I find it..."

Image
Who can decipher the subliminal message in the positions of the RMI's faders?

Image
Another subliminal message on the RMI. Can only be read in a mirror. Would be too easy otherwise.

Image
JMJ: "And zees ees ze forest from which EMS get ze wood for zeir synth casings!"

Image
Announcer: "And now let's welcome the man who's the reason why EMS Rehberg are still producing the same synthesizers as 1969 because he still buys them. Jean Michel Jarre!"
JMJ: "Good evening! Oh, and don't forget to by my '20 Reasons Why a VCS3 Is Better Than a DX7' shirts!"

Image
JMJ: "Hey Pierre, why aren't you CHARGIN MAH LAZER HARP?!"
