Yeah! Let that guy stay at his own bad musicstyle, and don't let him touch our Oxygene 7!

:D:D:D
"Holy grail" is a rather strong word for me to use concerning O7.
But it's a very nice track and some people just refuses to understand that.
I'll bet it was a Hip Hopper...

Yes, these two sounds are from the Roland JP8000
In fact, JMJ is looking for a sound to make a live solo
So these sounds clearly show solos are live

Yes yes, Papendieck did also have a JP8000.

I thought you were speaking of a normal bass

But I think these 2 sounds came from JMJ's JP8k

Can this person do any better and if you don't like something nobody is forcing you to listen to it and especially airing your opinion. Nasty remarks like that get me mad!!

Why????
My experiences are that generally if someone has an opinion enough to remark it's shit,or "Is he still playing that Shit" then they once maybe liked it or are aquainted enough with Jarre's music to know he "still" plays it...so in a way its an envious comment...
Anyone who genuinely doesn't like the Material will not have an opinion fullstop and will not be bothered about wasting time insulting it.
You won't please eveybody, but don't let comments like that Upset you!!!
No matter who or what artist it is,you'll always get idiots like that!!!Experience shows that they probably actually do like it and are a fan but don't like to admit or were a fan and just like to incite hatred amongst the real fans..
When i had my Music on an MP3 hosting site i received mostly positive comments with the exception of one guy in particular who was from Mexico or somewhere, left loads of nasty comments, under an assumed name, saying i was shit or the music was pathetic etc basically calling me a loser as well..
I received an Email one day from a guy who basically praised me and said that he enjoyed my works a lot and asked a bit more about what stuff i used,I found out the IP and address of this person and it turned out to be the same guy who had posted the nasty comments previously???

You could also wonder why these people visit websites or watch videos, they obvously think is crap and don't want to waste time on, but they still do it. Maybe they don't like, they can't do like those people they call names etc.

Some people can get jealous and envious of other people’s talents, their opinions on the outside are negative and their comments can be hurtful. But inside they just want to have the same talent as the person they are speaking about. I would go so far in saying maybe they would like to be similar like them. In this case maybe this person said the remark about JMJ because he is jealous

of his ability how he created and played Oxygene 7.
The person refers to the word “still†which interprets motionless and static. This would make it sound like JMJ has been playing this track for most part of his life, which is not true, as we all know.

I don't take much notice of people's comments like that. It's not like the negative comment is going to change the way 'you' look at him (Jarre). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and posting it publically is just another of life's little set-backs, especially if other's don't agree. But it's not worth getting into a frenzy if you don't like what is said. As I said before, it's not going to change the way 'you' feel about him (Jarre).
Let them have their rant, if it makes them feel better. Life's to short to worry about what other's think. You have one crack at life, make the most of it. I have come to appreciate that.

Given the Footage is from Moscow in 1997 when Jarre was actively promoting the Oxygene 7-13 album,so how could this person complain he's "Still" playing it!!!There obviously illinformed about the circa of the Material,in which case they have no clue as to what Jarres done since 97!!!!last time he played it was 12DOTS...some 6 years ago!...I'd guess that the Dumbass who complained about it doesnt realise its now 2006!!!
Don't worry about it!!
TBH If they feel passionate enough to have a comment on it they must have had some sort of means or occasion to have listened to it before to know its an older track and to rant about "still" playing it,they muct have liked it once, otherwise they would just brush it off and move on...
I love the track, its my fav of all time,(Not too fussed with the 12DOTS version)but its a superb track...couldn't care if Jarre still played it,infact I'd love him to still play it(In its original studio guise+Laser Harp)at upcoming concerts.

If some musicians or bands are popular for more than a few years, mainstreamers will quickly be there to talk crap about it. Because it's not "in" anymore... to them.
