Yes it is hard to stay happy, but if you try a bit harder you will make it after a great amount of time and that will make all the work worth the while.

Isn't it easier to be just neutral?

If you are happy for no reason in Sweden you're risking the question..."what's the matter?"
-You must have something funny to tell or else you are weird....so I'm weird.

I guess it's easier to be happy if you don't take life to serious.

Yes, that is truly what I feel too. Only that "What's the matter?" sounds like "Are you sick to be that happy???" It is funny how a good feeling and a good spirit can be so easily crushed by a feeling that you have to be neutral or dull!
