I still don't personally approve of having those two Vitalic remixes on disc two. Kind of goes against what Jarre says in his quotation beneath the track listng.

Agreed, it's a contradiction.

Yey!

Good to see Calypso II is finally being recognised as an 'Essential'.

It'll also be good to get hold of those rarities 'officially'... I won't feel so naughty anymore!

Exactly my thought too. Feels like finally it's going to be possible donating some cash for all the hours spent on listening to these "rarities". :P
I for one likes the Vitalic sound so a YaY! from me for those remixes.
I just wonder wich versions of Equinoxe 4 & 5 will be used on this album?
Some minor excitement there. :)

I actually hope for the entire Paris La Defense remix of Equinoxe 4, I hated that it was cut short on the Images release :|

I hate the La Cage remix, well I kinda like it, but I don't really give me the idea that I am listening to the original in any possible way. And the Erosmachine I've never heard actually :P

Isn't that the same with all remixes since the 90's ?
Take the Slam remixes of Chronologie 6, for example. :D

Some brief infomations, published by FAIRLIGHT JARRE:

PATRICK PELAMOURGUES has been the person in charge of mastering at 96 KHZ/24 Bits THE COMPLETE TRACKLIST of "Essentials & Rarities", not only the never digitally released ones.

Some advanced copies of "Essentials & Rarities" have been pressed for promotional purposses. Those "white lable" Cds are being distributed in Europe, in fact we got the confirmation of the Spanish distributor, that received its copies right yesterday. So in the next days we could see the first references in radio, press and TV.
